They're literally building everything around it. The last time I went it was in an open field but now there are buildings all around it either U/C or fixing to start construction.

McDonald's Restaurants are the primary seeds of Sprawl.
In every sense of the term.
(Why . . . I remember when the only thing out there on the NW Expressway was a McDonald's with a sign saying "Dozens and Dozens--Maybe More--Sold")
