    No can't say that I did,probaly "chicken"! Laid a lot of pennys on that track to be flattened. And I remember that the trackbed was somewhat elevated. There were a couple of places where you could have great fun in the fall after the grass died by riding down the slope on a big piece of cardboard. Once the grass got matted down somewhat you could really haul. I think that stuff beat sitting in front of the tv playing video games.

    I guess you mean across Robinson?? Can't say that that rings a bell. But I do seem to recall that there was a retail farm supply store over there across the street ,a Purina store I think. They sold baby chickens and ducks.And the strange things you remember 50 years later,,like the fly paper strips hanging in their windows!!!

    It was Horns and around Easter they would put the chics and ducklings around the "outside" display windows for the kids to see.

    some places still use the flypaper.
