Thread: OK Cider Co.

i went here a couple weeks ago and forgot to post... i got a couple growlers to go and really enjoyed them. the staff was friendly and were happy to answer all of my questions. agree on the clarity of their cider... both of the ones i ordered weren't hazy at all. i am fine with drinking a slightly sweeter cider but this was just fine for me and not overly bitter at all. i do prefer a bit more carbonation, though... but i suspect that any carbonation in their product is natural rather than from back-carbonating. it seems to me that they take quite a bit of pride in their craft and i have nothing but respect for that.

i'm not entirely clear on how the membership works... my impression was that it was a discount for regulars. i didn't get the impression that any of the taps were 'off limits' to random people (like me) who show up.

$125 a year which gets you invitation to three private member parties/tastings a year. 10% off your tab and access to the rotating #9 member's tap which is members only as it will usually be small batch stuff they are working on or just produced a small amount of. The current members tap is the watermelon jalapeno. Although not in the "agreement", as a member I have gotten emails of very small batch release for one day only where they just produced a few gallons experimenting.

These guys are still around and doing great work. USA Today just ranked them in the top ten cideries in the country.

This is awesome. I am not much of a Cider guy, but my Brother is their biggest fan. He loves their cider.

I encourage everyone to try their cider even if not cider fans. This is not like the usual sweet ciders we seem to get in the US. Most of their ciders are dry and alot of them use hops much like beer, They don't some across as hoppy though except a couple that were designed to be. The blackberry radler is fantastic and a huge seller. They do a lot of barrel aged ciders also that can run 11-13% ABV. Family friendly and they have a non alcoholic cider (kinder cider).

I have a confession, anytime I went to a local brewery with friends and wasn't a fan of the beer, if OK Cider was on tap I was drinking it. Very good Cider!

I'm pretty sure I tried that blackberry radler at the Patriarch just last week, it was very good.
