WCWS 2018: Road to Oklahoma City

Congratulations to OU's Jocelyn Alo on being named the NFCA Freshman of the Year, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

She earlier took honors as the Big 12 Freshman of the Year after finishing conference play ranked 1st in home runs (9), walks (17), runs scored (18), RBIs (25), total bases (46) and slugging percentage (.979) while finishing second in on-base percentage (.554).

I agree and love softball. I was watching the WCWS and was thinking, gee, wouldn't it be nice if there were a pro-league for these wonderful athletes to continue to showcase their talents and be paid for it.

Oklahoma City is a shoe-in for such an endeavor; I honestly can't believe OKC doesn't already have a team given it's position at the pinnacle of Women's Collegiate Softball and Amateur Softball.

There is a pro fast pitch league where Page Lowary was drafted first. I agree that OKC would be a great spot as we already have the facilities for it. The league is called National Fastpitch.
