I suspect there will be plenty of developers interested.

I've never really understood the problems with CVS. The store near here on Rockwell is as nice, or very near as nice as the Walgreens a block away. Prescriptions at least are the same price since insurance sets them. Even with GoodRX and such discount programs the prices are the same for everything I've priced. But Walgreens pharmacy is always very busy and CVS is very empty.

Didn't there used to be a grocery store on that lot, Pete? Way back in the day?

When I was little, we lived down the street from that location. I think I remember it being an Eckerds or maybe a grocery store. Memory is pretty foggy!

    It was a Kimberlings originally.

Kimberlings was an IGA, I think? I did recall it being an IGA, I'm pretty sure. It was also definitely an Eckerd, as mentioned above. Eckerd was bought out by CVS.

I know there was definitely an IGA at 50th and Shartel in the mid 70s, when I worked for an IGA in high school.

Any old maps of the center back in its heyday? I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the original Hyde Drug. It was there for thirty years or so. I remember when the FBI was across the street, too. Thought that was so cool as a kid.
