T -Thunderbird Inn Motel.
On old Route 66 after exiting the Turner Turnpike from Tulsa. We lived in T-town from '56-'61 and when we came to see my Grandparents in OKC I always knew we were getting close when I saw that cool neon bird.

The "Square Ring" used to meet there toward the end. It was a group of
boxing enthusiast and old boxers that met every month. Virginia Rimmer was
a very important person in preserving the boxing history of Oklahoma and
produced a book that I have in my library. She introduced me to several old,
old time boxers.
E: Emmer Brothers. Shepherd Mall. Prunette made me throw away a suit
that came from there. I thought it was really hip. Prunette called it
something I can't say in public... or private... or anywhere...

S. Sorgy's. It was a "dirt floor" dive on Classen across the street from Fuzzy's. Hey, THAT is my next F.
Edit: Sorgy's was the first bar I ever saw that hung local artist's work.
