Yee Haw.....Finally someone my age....I also graduated from Grant in 1964. We just had the 45th Reunion but, some of us are talking about maybe making it a yearly visit since we had 45 members that have passed away. When you can receive PM's we'll communicate a little more....We have (this forum) a monthly meeting at Coit's on 24th and Western. Next meeting is this coming Saturday (Oct. 24th) stay with us.....If you go back in the beginning of the Southside memories there are a lot of things you definitely will remember...
That is the problem with getting older, there are fewer of us to do it. I didn't know this place existed until my brother mentioned it and am I glad I found it. I have been away a few years; eight years this time. Live in a little town south of Fort Worth. I was reading some of the comments which brought back interesting memories. I'm going to read more to get caught up.
How do you know Prunepicker? I could be a genius who graduated from High school at 12 - - - - or not. I am as old as the year I graduated. I think I've done good, I know a lot of people who have not lived to see sixty. You youngun's should be appeciative the knowledge we old folks carry because we have managed to live this long.
General, I took your advice and read some of the past strands. I started to feel old especially when read about some of the teacher at Grant in our day.
Wow!

Prunepicker and the guys are just kids. Now General60 ....he's old and then there is Doug Loudenbeck....he's ancient but man he knows where the answers are. What Texas town south of Ft. Worth????I used to live in Hillsboro.....The old Thread about southside memories is long but fun....
Then you know Cleburne, I live on the SW side of the town. Been here about 3 years.

Know Cleburne very well, I actually lived in Whitney just south of where you live. Used to bank at the Rio Vista Cow pasture bank.....Haul many bales of hay out of the area you are living in now.

Yeah, you're probably right. They should reinstate the gun club so they can teach those kids how to shoot a gun. By the way, I've got you a couple of things that we talked about. Are you going to be there Saturday????What happened to OU???....
Oh yeah, I know OLDSALT haven't seen or actually thought about him in 45 years . (Sorry OLDSALT) his little brother has been on the Southside thread for some time though.....
Guys I'm still trying to catch up on memories. Does anyone remember Mr. Brown and the gang of drunks from Southeast?
Brown was the Basketball/baseball coach at Grant....Saw him at the 45th class reunion in July....acts just like he always did (arrogant)......busted my backside too many times to suit me....Southeast drunks?????still remember all of the Grant people....some of them I would like to forget but we all have bad dreams at one time or the other....
I wonder if Grant has the old year books archived?
I saw Mrs. Semrad and her daughter today! We visited a short time.
Not a memory but how did Grant do in Football this year????
