NBA ratings are down 48% since 2012. Down 28% this year alone on ESPN. Every other sports league is setting ratings records. I agree why does league pass black out local teams.
The NFL blocks local(75 mile radius of stadium) games
based on attendance or lack thereof. That is why NFL stadiums are smaller than college. That way a team avoids blocking local fans
Well Schroder is a Warrior and they got him for I feel nothing. Milton who is hurt and not even playing this year. Warriors got much better another playmaker. If they can get LeBron watch out for the Warriors
^^^ I think the Thunder has a great team, and more importantly, team chemistry. If Sam Presti, who is universally regarded as an absolute top notch NBA GM, doesn't feel the need to add former Thunder player Dennis Schroder, then I have zero issue with his judgement.
This Thunder team appears to be stud, stacked and harmonious. All I want to do is watch and enjoy.
This thunder team don't need to do anything but I am pointing out that the fact that the warriors did get a lot better by that trade. Did it make them the best team in the West no Thunder still are but Sometimes it's a good thing to keep players off of another team if you can AKA Dallas last year. We're the ones that affected that trade I forget how but it kind of bit us in the end. If the warriors can find a superstar which they probably will watch out
Wow just looked at the standings I didn't realize Memphis was in second now. Great win by the thunder. Wouldn't be shocked if they have the west won by early March. Which would be great to work Chet back in slowly
Houston Rockets 96 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder 111

If anyone from the Thunder or Mayor office is on here Thunder playoff watch parties need to happen for all rounds. If you want to do just away games fine. Fence in an area charge $5 have people go through metal detectors all fine with me. Really needs to happen this year. Move votes would be Bicentennial park or lower scissor tail park. Keep if away from Bricktown as much as possible. Boathouse area maybe? Other suggestions?
https://x.com/CrainNBA/status/1868490345786327247 Just some more thought from someone National.
I have said from day one to open the arena up, first come first serve, show it on the jumbotron that is dropped down to 200 viewing level, open up the restaurants and charge $10 per person. The charge would be for the people working at the arena and to make people feel committed. You could get 10,000 people in there pretty easily...
That's actually true. But the other leagues no. For instance. I'm both a St. Louis Cards fan and a Colorado Avalanche fan. For the Cards I have to have (whatever) Sports Midwest or it be a national televised game to see most Cards games. I have EDPN+ to watch Avs games. Otherwise same thing. If it's not a national televised game it's blacked out in OKC. I've never understood. It's not like I can decide this afternoon to pop up to St. Louis or Denver to go to a home game.
I still have Cox Cable. I don't think there has ever been a Thunder game that I haven't been able to watch. I get every channel Cox carries except the Latino channels. Even when everyone was complaining last year about how awful Bally Sports was streaming the Thunder games it was never an issue watching Bally on Cox (now FanDuel) or TNT.
For the record VPN is a great workaround for blackouts
And a few websites. I have never had to pay to watch a thunder game. Have league pass now as season ticket holder so I have to pay the VPN but before that I watched it I guess you could say illegally. You can also get league pass cheap with VPN. At least that is what I have heard.
we (the State of Oklahoma) are in the worst / best possible location for MLB blackouts ... we are the "home area" for the Astros/Rangers/Royals/Cards .... not back in the old Cable/satellite only days we had all 4 of those teams "local" games on different channels .. which was great we could watch more "free" baseball then about anywhere in the country .. but it was always terrible for MLB ticket ..(or whatever it has been called over the years) ..
Not sure how I'm feeling about tonight. I think it's horrible that the Thunder have to play Thursday and Friday. Yes winning the cup would be nice so would be getting some rest. It's horrible how the NBA is handling this. The is now reason too have 3 days between games when it's in Vegas and teams don't have to travel. However I'm sure the NBA didn't want to go up against Sunday and Monday night football. Fine have Semi finals on Thursday and Finals on Saturday. If we lose the next two games I'll be upset. Not that I don't think we are good enough but we have to travel all the way from Vegas to Orlando. Also Early January schedule is loaded Starting with Dec 29th Memphis, Minnesota, LA Clippers, NY, Boston, Cleveland, NY, Washington, Philly, Cleveland, Dallas. Wow only 2 non playoff teams. 11 game stretch that if we are still first in the west we will be in great shape. I'm thinking 8-3 which would be great 7-4 I could be ok with but I think we are good enough to go 8-3

Emirates NBA Cup: Championship
Milwaukee Bucks (14 - 11) @ Oklahoma City Thunder (20 - 5)
T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV
They were talking on the Down to Dunk podcast about that. There is not much rest they have a lot of events and media that they have too do for this thing. Plus they are in Vegas and in their 20's what rest are they getting? Three games in 4 nights is never a good thing. Play tonight fly across country play Thursday, fly to Miami play Friday. Not good
I don't follow BB. Just don't like the game. Never been a fan except for the super competitive years of the Thunder. Now that they're back I kinda keep up. Don't watch but keep up with the results and record. But I'll watch and root tonight.
Well it’s a good thing that game didn’t count towards our overall record cuz that was some ugly shooting percentages especially in the second half.
And the Bucks are only the 5th in the East with a 14-11 record. I thought the Thunder had a chance at halftime but by the end of the 3rd it looked like it was pretty much over. I think all the players still got $300K for making it as far as they did.
