Today I went for rapid test in an Urgent Care Clinic in Lawton and was happy to have tested negative. In speaking with physician was told that their positive rate was 6% but was cautioned that the false negative rate (testing negative when one is actually positive) is about 18% for the Abbott rapid test. If one tests positive they can be very confident of the results but her concern, and that of so many others https://khn.org/news/abbott-rapid-te...ts-under-fire/ is the false sense of security that a negative result may impart. I asked to have an antibody test on the same day to see if I had already been exposed and was told that my insurance carrier would not cover both the rapid test and the antibody test on the same day smh. Was told I could pay $75 or come back on another day to have it done. I'm sure this is how it is done in South Korea, New Zealand etc.. lol
Here is the link. I suspect you are factoring in the obvious typo that showed 19k test results waiting.

The 2.0% positive is based on number of positives reported today (299) divided by the difference between completed tests reported yesterday (312,454) and completed tests reported today (327,683), which is 15,229. That yields a final result of 299/15,229 which is actually .019 (1.9%). All data is taken from the daily summary OSDH mails out.
Yeah we had a *ton* of completed tests today
I’m starting to see a theme peaking its head up more and more recently, but especially more so today. I’m seeing a lot of verbiage from various government officials all over the country at various levels mentioning shutting down again. Hospitalizations are skyrocketing all across the country. I don’t see anyway around shutting down again at this point.
Question: Where are the quick turn around testing sites here in the city? Are there any?
The U.S. had another record day in positive cases yesterday.
And trump went golfing...I know this is not a political thread, but how can anyone not place the root of our current situation at his feet for his apathy and ignorance of to this disease is beyond me. Please move this comment if it is deemed inappropriate.
On a side note, I just returned from a trip to Lowes and was happy to see that 80%+ seemed to be masked, which seemed a big increase of the last time I was there two weeks ago or so. Hopefully we are learning and taking care of our fellow citizens by being proactive to slow the spread.
WEAR A MASK, BE SAFE
Shut down of Bars, restaurants, casinos would be where i would start with the roll back. Carryout only again. No large gatherings of more than 10. Has anyone heard anymore on the possible outbreak at Hobby Lobby?
One of the failings of the Oklahoma system of reporting is there are no alerts about businesses that have had employees test positive.
In just the last week or so, several places have closed after they self-reported: HiLo Club, The Pump, Social Capital, Revolucion... Just off the top of my head.
But their closures and disclosures were voluntary. How many businesses that welcome people into their space have had positive cases that nobody knows about?
There have been rumors about plenty of others.
Not only is it dangerous, but how would people who have patronized these places know to get tested?
I went to the Braums at May and 62nd yesterday. Not only was the staff preparing the food and waiting on customers not wearing masks, one was standing over the open ice cream containers scratching her scalp and repeatedly rubbing her nose then using the same hand to dip ice cream. It would be disgusting any time, but the lack of control and care of their customers at this particular time is abhorrent and totally irresponsible. It will be some time before I go back to Braums.
Other restaurants that are temporarily closed due to employees testing positive:
McClintock's Saloon
Belinini's
Sunnyside Edmond
302 new positive cases today.
