Here's a map of school shooting all over the world
notice how these "civilized" countries have the most shootings. Makes you wonder if there is a correlation between mental health problems among the absence of other problems most in advanced societies will never have. Possibly other factors like video games, movies, and music might also be a factor as well. Another note is the lack of issues and isolation that is made possible by this society is also interesting.
Of course instead of school shootings, there is extreme poverty, kids walking around in the street killing people without consequence, bombs going off, etc. Perhaps we need some excitement to keep this country "civilized".
For a movie, The Dark Night sure made some good points.

This is pretty neat:
Self-Sustaining Urban Ecosystem Discovered In Abandoned Building In Thailand
Thailand’s capital is a vibrant city full of surprises, and this abandoned shopping mall in old town Bangkok is certainly no exception. Tucked away behind an unassuming looking gate is New World shopping mall which burned down back in 1999. Because it doesn’t have a roof anymore, the basement is flooded all year round.
At some stage, a person started introducing Koi and Catfish into the basement. The population thrived and now this abandoned building has transitioned into a self-sustained, urban aquarium!
Photographer and professional cook Jesse Rockwell was lucky enough to find out where this hidden gem lies and took some snaps of it, it's pretty cool.

This is a cool gif of ants forming a chain to haul away a millipede
Ants Form Daisy-Chain To Haul Away Millipede
Scientists were boggled when they witnessed, for the first time, a colony of Leptogenys ants in Southeast Asia forming a daisy chain to carry much larger prey: A millipede. Though cooperative ant behaviour is well-documented, including forming life rafts in floods, this chaining behavior is quite different. Instead of carrying prey directly in their mandibles, the ants are forming organized lines by linking their mandibles to the preceding ant’s abdomen (gaster). Scientists are struggling to understand this previously undocumented type of cooperative transport.
