Both of us had to go to work. And we have a fairly steep driveway. But I only shoveled tracks for her. I have a pretty low car so I had to do car wide for mine.
As far as plowing parking lots I can see both sides. But it really has to be done. I've been involved in 3 lawsuits concerning people injured by slipping on snow/ice. I'm certain we won all three because we convinced the juries that we did all we could to make parking/walking as safe as possible.
All depends on how much snow you are getting. You were supposed to get xx inches and only got y. They were hopefully trying to plow before the full snow fell. It was also forcast to NOT melt for days. We had 2 inches of snow last night in Denver and they plowed here. I'm not ever going to fault them for plowing vs. leaving it to freeze into ice.

Denver is a completely different climate than OKC.
It would run for 10 min and stop. HVAC replaced the condense line that SHOULD’VE been installed on a slope but the plumber, who was involved in the build of this house, put everything at right angles down to garage. So any ice frozen at these angles wasnt moving until, say, JUNE! Just replaced it all for preventative measure. Had blankets and space heater from ice storm. Slept like a baby eskimo.
I think we retook the lead. Forcast right up until the snow started was 3-6 inches in my part of town - i had 14 in my back yard. Goes to show there's nothing wrong with OKCs weather people except maybe a little showboating.
Not too often you see the Denver Cyclone come into play during a winter weather event but last night definitely did it. Absolutely wild localized snow event up there.
Couldn't be more welcome moisture though.
