Now there was a FIRST Class Lady:.....Sorry to hear that....
Bumping this up so some new forum people can find it easier.
~~~
I was bumping this thread to the top of the list so the newbies wouldn't have to hunt for it down the page... it would be at the top or near the top when they log into OKCTalk. Havent you ever been on a forum where you just saw someone make a post that just said, "Bump".....?? They were doing the same thing......making it go to the top of the list.
~~~
I wasn't bumping a post.... I was bumping this whole thread, "Southside OKC Memories", to the top of the Nostalgia & Memories list. Here's the definition in Wikipedia.....
Bump (Internet)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"To bump a thread on an Internet forum is to post a reply to it purely in order to raise the thread's profile. This will typically return it to the top of the list of active threads. It has been suggested that "bump" is an acronym of "bring up my post",[1] however this is almost certainly a backronym and the usage is entirely consistent with the verb "bump" which means "To knock to a new position".[2] It can also be used in personal messages (PMs) or instant messages (IMs) on the Web, to return an older message to the top of the list."

I can understand someone wanting a particular post to be at the
top of the thread. But a specific thread wasn't posted. Since
this is already the Southside Memories thread the last post will
always be a Southside Memories post and will always be at the
top of the thread.
I'm missing something or am making this too hard.
Yes, you're missing something. I'm talking about when you're looking at the page under Nostalgia and Memories which shows all of the various threads. It moves the Southside Memories thread to the top of that page. It has nothing to do with the where the individual posts are located within the Southside Memories thread.
Hey Pruner:..........are you drinking that "Fermented" Prune Juice again?????? If so, be careful...Mom's know what to do....
Well, it's about time for the Southside to come "Alive" again. School is in the air and the kids (as usual) don't want to go. What can any of you tell about your first days of school? I remember being told that all the boys had to have their Levis run up the flag pole on the first day of the Seventh Grade at Grant. I first thought how stupid...then how humiliating....was petrified the first two days of Junior High....Or, how about that first couple of days shen you had your first car???? I remmebr having a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air and thought it so cool...then as I drove into the parking lot one of my friends drove up in his "Brand New" 1962 Impala. I was bummed out however, as the year progressed I notice he was hardly at any of the school functions.......CAR PAYMENTS.....gotta work....welcome to school...any stories from any others???
Does anyone remember the name of the Pizza Parlor on S.W. 59th and May Ave?......
Pizza Inn.
I remember the 'All You Can Eat' buffet for $1.59! A friend and I,
highschool aged, nearly put them out of business one day. I alone
put down the equivalent of 4 thin crust pepperoni pizzas. My
friend was bigger and ate a lot more! His mom, who treated us,
ate like a normal adult. I mean a normal northsider adult.
There's something that happens to the mind and body of a
teenager when "All You Can Eat" and PIZZA are used in the same
sentence. In fact, it still happens to me as we speak.
Oh, it's still there. I like Pizza Inn thin crust pepperoni.
