From the Fitzsimmons Architects FB Page:
Do they have an opening date yet? I can't wait for this to get finished.
Call me slow but what's the Turner Construction area across the street?
Is anyone else 'iffy' about the design. Every time is see it, I just question whether or not I like it. I can't make up my mind.
I really, really love it.
I love the mid-century references, especially because there is a lot of it in the area.
Plus, it's different than anything else in town.
I'd bet my mortgage this turns out to be a monster hit.
The combination of a relatively huge indoor/outdoor beer garden with live music and also a retro bowling lounge...
They are going to pack them in.
Soon, you'll have the uber-popular McNellies, Fassler/Dust Bowl, Bleu Garten, R&J, Broadway 10 and Sidecar all in a row. Midtown is on the verge of greatness.
BTW, I bet there was an objective to keep the roof line flat and low because Midtown Renaissance also owns the property directly north and I'm sure there was some thought given to preserving views of downtown, which will be great even from the second level (Fassler Hall); so you'll know they'll be good from that property to the north as well.
I have universally loved the work of Brian Fitzsimmons, both the renovations and the new. So, I really look forward to seeing all the final touches go in, because only then do you get the full picture.
I really look forward to seeing the Francis Apartments, another Fitzsimmons design that looks very cool in a completely different way.

The yellow "mesh" and wood siding started going up yesterday. Didn't have time to snap a pic.
Their FB page says they are only "two weeks away". Looks like they want to be open by Thanksgiving:
That's cool. I can't wait to hang out here.
Two weeks seems ambitious, but it is good to hear that they are going to hit (or come close to) their December opening target. I'm excited to see this place. Dust Bowl is some of my Tulsa friends favorite place to go, typically not even to bowl.
It may be a situation where Fassler opens first, then Dust Bowl later.
Fassler looks pretty close to complete and the shared kitchen is located in their space.
It was elbow to elbow workers on the inside here yesterday. Not much on the outside but inside looked crazy busy getting this finished.
Anyone know the updated or estimated completion or opening date?
Fassler Hall's FB page said "two weeks away" yesterday.
