Thanks and thanks for the heads up on JC's. We considered adding it to the tour yesterday but we were already pushing our limits eating 2 ribs from each slab in a two hour period. =+)

Jacks has been my favorite as of late for ribs, I also love his potatoes. Me and the boy had Rays yesterday for lunch and it was wall to wall and good as always. I've had ribs at everyone of the places on your list with exception of Simmons.

They moved to 19th and tower drive it's a new strip center, and it was packed we waited 25 mins after we ordered. It was worth the wait though pretty tasty.

Has anyone tried Jack's BBQ on NW 39th Expressway lately? I'm going
to try and visit them this week. I liked their ribs but haven't been there in
quite a while. Same goes for Swadley's. The last time someone bought my
lunch there it wasn't nearly as bad as I remembered. They must be improving.

Ooops, I just noticed that Garin likes Jack's. I should have studied the
    thread before posting.

Do you live around NW 39th & Meridian?

I like Van's. However, they are about 25 miles from my home. I had no idea
they moved. Thanx. I might try them on Sunday, if they're opened.

Happy to hear they are open in Moore again. The number of Moore folks who were coming to Norman for their Van's fix, combined with the popularity of Van's locally, was at times overflowing the Norman location. Happy for their family.

I always liked the fried potatoes at Jack's and Oklahoma Station. When I lived in Mayfair West I frequented Oklahoma Station quite a bit for take home BBQ.

Since its just down the street OK Station is my go-to place, especially when I have the Gazette coupon.
Sounds like I do need to try Jack's though.

Jack's ribs placed 3rd in my recent OKC Broken Rib Tour and Oklahoma Station was 11th.

I also went back a few weeks after we did the rib tour and did a follow-up... Oklahoma BBQ Eaters Anonymous: SNAPSHOT: JACK'S BAR-B-QUE 03-07-14

We ate at the new Van's location in Moore over this past weekend, it was pretty good. The new location is big and open, also noticed they have a storm shelter in their front patio area.

I was there yesterday and noticed the shelter out front also. I wonder how many people it will hold?

I like Leo's. Always have. I like the triple meat. Ribs, ribs and ribs. He
had a place on N Western in the 80's. It was where the Gridiron Drive In
    was located.

About 30 years ago there was a place called Bill's on NW 16 and east of
Indiana. His Q was fantastic as was his sweet potato pie.

Kids brought me some Backdoor BBQ this last weekend, the baby back ribs were terrible, over cooked to the point of being pork jerky, hard and tasteless....the bologna was good though.

My dad ate at Leo's so often that Leo left him his bass boat in his will when he passed. They became good friends throughout the years and it all started over BBQ and fishing.I've always loved Leo's as well and try to get by as often as I can. Charles Leo's son is a pretty cool dude and still remembers his dad and mine spending many years telling fish stories. He never fells to ask how my pops is doing.

I've been to the salt lick in dripping springs Texas , does anyone know if the salt lick at Will Rogers airport is them same place?

It is a franchise of Salt Lick in Driftwood. There are also some franchise locations in Las Vegas at a casino and I think DFW Airport is supposed to get one.

I've found that it's virtually impossible to screw up smoking bologna and
    link sausages.

I'm going to fix a cool smoker, as in cool smoke, so I can smoke cheese. I've
got an idea or two. Maybe I can manage to do it this spring. Alton Brown
used three lockers, like those in a gym. One contained the smoke source,
another carried the smoke through several feet of tubing used to carry
link in dryers and the last for the cheese or whatever needed to be
    smoked without heat.
