i'm not sure i follow your reasoning.
i think the best that ou can hope for is a conference championship and a decent bowl game... the playoffs are pretty much a foregone conclusion with two losses.
ou needs to finish first or second in the big xii in order to play for the title. osu's loss makes that path a little easier. the sooners still need either ksu or isu to finish with at least three conference losses.
You both have points. OU has zero chance of playing for the National Championship. And with OSU, ISU and KU ahead of OU in the conference standings with three games to go they need a lot of help to even make that game. So Bedlam will possibly be just for making "style" points for OU. And beating an unbeaten OSU would be better for that. Nationally an unbeaten OSU would have made Bedlam a much bigger game. Also win or lose for OU it would look better for the conference to have OSU unbeaten that far into the season and if somehow OSU pulled off the win they would be in the conversation for the playoffs. Which would help the reputation of the conference which right now is not very good.
OU was the betting favorite to win the big 12 before last Saturday and they continue to be today .
Betting favorite means zip. Unless I'm missing something with 4 games left OU will have to win out. That would make OU and OSU both 7-2 if OSU wins all their other games. Then at least one of KU and ISU would have to lose 2 of their last 4 to have 3 losses each. If OU, KU and or ISU all end up 7-2 OU doesn't get in the Conf Championship game because KU and ISU beat OU.
Who could have guessed the OSU thread would be full of a bunch of Sooner fans.
Building O'Brate: Once only a vision, OSU's new baseball stadium finally ready to shine:

That's a great article, thanks for sharing. Holder gets a bad rap sometimes because of the Travis Ford contract and he can come off as a jerk, but the guy is a master fundraiser. OSU has state of the art facilities in just about every single sport now thanks to him, it's incredible.
That's the only facility left, right? Football and basketball are good obviously. Baseball is now done. Tennis got theirs a couple years ago. Soccer was a year or two ago. Track and field are done. Cross country got a new one a year or two ago. Equestrian is good. And Karsten is still the pinnacle for college golf courses.
Bush to throw first pitch in O'Brate: https://www.ocolly.com/sports/report...48e3597ef.html
sure but specifically for the baseball stadium it is because he and O'Brate are long time friends ..

Yup, I'm aware.
Glad they got this rescheduled since Bush was supposed to throw out the first pitch at the grand opening last year but it was cancelled because of Covid.
Also, didn't know if it's been posted or not but OSU is allowing full capacity in the stadium for the remaining two series against Baylor and New Orleans.
ESPN announced a home-and-home for OSU and Alabama for 2028 and 2029. Alabama at OSU on 23 September 2028 and OSU at Alabama on 15 September 2029.
