Yes, the two games played by him are so obviously different than when he is out. When SGA gets doubled, he is there for the outlet pass and is so smart at finding the open man.

This team looks unbeatable when it has one of their centers playing. Imagine how February is going to be when Chet and Hartenstein are both in the rotation. RIP league.

Plus having JWill back…he’s not a game-changer in the same manner as Chet and Hartenstein, but he’s still a big, active body who can spell the two bigs during games against a tall lineup. Nobody in the league beats this team if they get (and remain) healthy.

Yeah I think J WIll's absence is being overlooked. The guy played a lot of minutes last year and was at worst serviceable but played really well most of the season. Fortunately Kenrich has started to find his groove there.

That pass last night that he threw behind his back to J dub for the dunk as he was falling forward under the basket was ridiculous. I thought he was just throwing it back to keep it inbounds.

This team is definitely loaded when healthy, but I wouldn't sneeze at the Celtics. I think the Celtics would still be favored against us. They are similarly loaded and have a ton of championship experience. My biggest worry about them as that they are a much better three point shooting team than OKC. That could turn a series...

Of course, if we play the Celtics then that means we're in the Finals, so I'll take it.

We don't win that game without I-hart. Also I like Dort only taking 2 shots. Catch and 3's I don't mind him taking but sometimes when he drives to the basket he is out of control. Rebounds and defense is his job and he did it excellent last night

We were number 1 in the league in 3pt % at 38.9% last season, just every so slightly better than Boston at 38.8%. We are essentially the same team with guys shooting well below their career averages, especially Caruso (20.5%!!! vs. 37.3%), Wallace (26.5% vs. 39.2%) and even Joe (36.5% vs. 39.4%). You have to think we'll progress to the mean at some point and at minimum close the gap.

Love JWill but I wouldn't be shocked to see a small trade at the deadline with either him Kendrich Williams, Dieng. Especially if Carlson turns out ok and can give use just 5 minutes a game. Probably just for salary reasons.

Starters: Chet, JDub, Dort, SGA, I-hart. Bench: Caruso, Joe, Wiggins, Wallace, 3rd big JWill? So where does that leave Kendrich, Dieng, Mitchell? All of them aren't making a lot of money but wouldn't be shocked if someone went at the trade deadline.

Carlson was brought in for depth and will probably never play again after j will returns.

take that back…looking at his stats maybe he will play but he’s a center and j will is a stretch power forward. If anything j will and Kenrich will compete for minutes.

Agree I think Ousmane is most likely traded.

Why would they trade Ousmone now? He’s still very young at 21. Younger than Ajay Mitchell, Dillon Jones, and 4 years younger than Carlson. He still has low trade value even though he’s played the best ball of his career to start this season. I don’t see him being traded.

No minutes for him and always money. 6.6 million next year and over 9 million for 26-27 for someone that you don't have any minutes for. I'm sure with all our picks we can find someone young at his level for half the price. Why did we trad Tre Mann who is averaging 14 points a game now with the Hornets?

First, the Thunder already chose Dieng over Mann at last year's trade deadline. The Thunder have had a huge number of guards better than Tre Mann—SGA, J-Dub, Cason, Wiggins, Joe, and Dort. We just had no minutes for an undersized guard that is an inconsistent shooter (at least for OKC) and a defensive liability. I wish Mann nothing but the best, but I'd argue that Mann has limited upside. He really had to be an elite scorer to overcome his defensive limitations. However, Dieng is a 6'10 21 year old who we drafted as a raw prospect. It just doesn't make a ton of sense to give up on him right when he's starting show flashes of playing a role the Thunder could use. If he does pan out—Dieng is an extremely versatile defensive player who can knock down 3s. I personally don't think Dieng will likely pan out, but the Thunder aren't ones to give up early. They're patient.

Having said that, I do agree that it's possible OKC determines it has a need to fill and uses Dieng's contract and picks to make it happen. If the Thunder sacrifice future potential in Dieng for a win-now player, that's definitely an all-in move.

To get Gordon Hayward that was getting $33 million on an expiring contract. That gives us a lot more flexibility to resign Shai, Chet, JDub, Wigs and Joe initially. We are currently at $162M in payroll and have $154M committed in 25/26 and that doesn't include Caruso and a bunch of other players.

Gritty win without J Dub in the second half.

Ok, ok...I will eat my words on Hartenstien. He turned out to be a good pick up since Chet is down.

iHart was a great pick up whether Chet is available or not. He really fits the Thunder system well.

Love this team another ugly but good win. Both teams couldn't make a bucket in the 4th. Love this team however on thing I'm not liking is Jones and Mitchell on the floor at the same time. More minutes for Wiggins please. Also Dennis Schroder come back. We could just a point guard when SGA is off the floor. Topic hopefully will be that guy next season but wouldn't mind doing a trade for Schroder probably wouldn't take much.

Would’ve been a good pickup either way…there’s a reason everyone thought he was worth what we paid for him.

I think all of those minutes with Mitchell and jones were largely dude to J Dub and Caruso being out.
