You could dig a new hole and people would line up to jump in it. Especially with the right PR.

Ya gotta love anyplace with "Bubba" in its name. Unless it's your urologist.
Not sure if this has been said but the owners also own the Schlotzsky's in Midwest City (the son runs it) and they are actively looking for a spot for a Dairy Queen in MWC/Del City for the daughter to run. They're having a problem finding land reasonably priced though.
Very excited for Oreo Blizzards!!
So are there any early reviews on this DQ yet? We drove by and saw a gazillion people in the drive thru as well as inside and decided the wait was too long. From I saw of the menu I was that impressed. DQ in texas has tacos if im not mistaken.
The wife went last night and brought some stuff back.... Nothing special she was gone however for an hour and ten minutes. It's funny cause in Texas you'd be the only person in one and people in Moore including my wife act as though it's a spaceship that just landed.
It's food.
Someday it'll be fast.food
That day is still several days, perhaps weeks, away.
Bubba does have good burger's at their all the time when I would visit relatives in Vian and Gore as a kid. I ate there a few years ago maybe 3 seriously can't remember because the years are starting to jumble together.
We just braved the drive as well as a approx. 25 min wait to get our food at the new DQ and needless to say I wont be going back and will probably be calling their corporate HQ tomorrow to piss and moan. The quality as well as quantity we received was left quite a bit to be desired. Even as much as I despise Sonic I would probably prefer it over this. This is no way shape nor form resembles the DQ that I remember.
I love Dairy Queen but, I am not about to wait in a long line for it. Krispy Kreme was the one and only time I waited in line for quick service food. I got in line at 5pm the day they opened on 240. I was the first of the last ten cars they allowed through the line. The police shut the inside line down just as I was pulling into the drive thru. It was a fun night because I met some really nice law students who were dying to get a few dozen. They walked up and begged for me to place an order for them. I couldn't say no to them because they were so nice about it.
I will go when the crowd dies down. I have found long lines for fast food service usually mean a lack of quality or I expect it to be more than what it is. It's fast food not a gourmet dinner at a world class restaurant.
Hey, it's just the novelty of something fun and new coming around, combined with a degree of nostalgia for folks like me who remember the old DQ's fondly. Yeah, its silly, its just burgers and ice cream, and I don't think anyone holds out that it's haute cuisine or going to revolutionize the world. It's just..fun. I mean, fun isn't illegal yet, is it?
Tried to go Saturday afternoon and literally could not get in the building! The line snaked throughout the restaurant, two policemen directing traffic - it was insane! And they have been open since Dec. 31st! They better build some more fast while there is still buzz!
I stopped by last Wednesday as I was arriving from Dallas via the I-35 corridor & there wasn't even standing room inside. I had to suck in my already skinny gut just to get from the register to a table not even 10-ft away.
Quit bragging.
The second new OKC area location is opening in Del City.
Del City sees once blighted corner redeveloped with new Dairy Queen | NewsOK.com
“The new Dairy Queen is another example of the city and a private developer working together to redevelop a previously blighted property,” Del City Planner Monica Cardin said. “Just a few years ago, this property was a dilapidated, crime-filled apartment complex with significant drainage and utility challenges, but now it is a first-class neighborhood development.”
In anticipation of large crowds for the restaurant’s grand opening, city officials and Jones have developed plans for traffic control and other public safety concerns.
Police, Fire and Public Works departments are prepared to help with traffic control, Cardin said.
How busy have the two locations (Moore & Del City) been now that they've been open for a while?
