Awesome.
This is starting to get real... Print ad (from https://twitter.com/babycrane88):
I hope the waitresses dress in those german girl clothes.
That doesn't sound sexist at all.
How would it be sexist? It wouldn't be all that different from Twin Peaks..
I would say tacky more than sexist. They do know what they are getting into when they apply.
Ok
They don't wear clothes like that in Tulsa. Would seem a little bit hokey if you ask me. Bartenders at McNellie's don't dress like leprechauns.
In fairness to the OP, the wait staff at Royal Bavaria dress in more traditional German clothing; so asking that Fassler do the same isn't too far a stretch.
I think it's hokey. Will the male waitstaff wear lederhosen?
I don't think it's likely those outfits would be considered for the OKC Fassler. First, I tend to agree that such an outfit is both a bit hokey and objectifies women. Second, those outfits would be quite the departure from the vibe of the Tulsa Fassler Hall and pretty much all other McNellie's group concepts. I'm pretty sure they were just drawing from a German pub archetype to bring attention to the place.
^
Exactly.
They don't wear anything like that at the Tulsa Fassler Hall and hokey is not Elliott Nelson's style.
Also, remember that Fassler will share a kitchen and perhaps some staff with Dust Bowl Lanes.
I <3 Elliott Nelson.
Will the Dust Bowl be manual scoring for bowling like Tulsa?
I do realize that this is not their theme.
I also realize that there are themed places of business out there that do exist with this concept.
I was just going along with the theory of it being cool if that's what the group did AND I realize they don't do that.
It was just fun like speculating on what's really going to be on the Stage Center pad.
Wouldn't mind the traditional German wear for the servers during Oktoberfest…
Speaking of, unless they get going quick, they're going to miss this year :-(
