I wonder is the 20 year lease is actually a five year lease with three 5 year options.

Went by Kongs the day before Thanksgiving and they have to be on life support at this point, They got rid of almost all their arcade games, no longer have any draft beer despite having like 20 taps and from what I could tell only really have bottom shelf liquor anymore. Also, that day when I was there 2 of the bathrooms were closed and the other two wouldn't flush literally filled with feces and no one working there seemed to care despite telling them about it. Honestly seemed like a place just keeping the doors open until their lease runs out.
I was told they are planning a remodel and will reopen with 3 difference concepts under one roof.
The operator still has a long-time lease on the property and invested a bunch of money, so they aren't going to just walk away.
It's SO tempting to make a joke here, but I will respectfully refrain.
The current plan is for the former Sunset to become an event space for The Dailey, a coworking business.
Shyon Koeppel co-owns The Dailey and owns the building in which it is housed on N. May near Northpark Mall. He still has a long-term lease on this Midtown property.
The woman who runs the coworking space will also run the event space. They had a big blowout over the weekend with DJ's where the place operated pretty much like the Sunset of old, so not sure if that will still be happening on weekends unless they have been hired out for a private event.
Will it include a gun range?
Officially affiliated with the Thunder...?
Don't confuse those loud cracks outside with Thunder.
I'm a actually incredibly shocked that the Thunder pulled the trigger (Ha!) on this deal. Agreed that hopefully the worst days are in the past.
It's possible that they just sub-leased it and the operators are not involved with the day-to-day on this one, but that's probably wishful thinking.
Will this be open for tonight's game? We were in Midtown on Sunday. About game time we left and drove by but it wasn't open?
I was wondering the same thing. Looks like it's for away games only and maybe only pregame? This is all I could find:

For some reason, it must be only for pregame.
I don't think it stays open for a watch party. Very strange.
There was a watch party on Saturday, but it was a season ticket member event only with security at the door. You needed a QR code to get in, and your name had to be on a list ahead of time, with name, number, email, and all your guests names and information as well.
It is being operated by the Thunder organization.
