Jake: Because OKC has had no success bringing in players other than reclamation projects and trade assets

Hopefully, if it's in the 4th, Donovan needs to learn to bench Robes on the first hack and put him back in at the 2 minute mark.

Roberson needs to work on 2 crucial areas of his game; free throws & 3 point shots. He has had this off season to work on those areas.

Hmmmm....I dunno if you can make a FT/3PT guy out of him. I'd sure love to see OKC go out and get a pure shooter. That's the law in the new NBA - if you can't shoot, you can't win. Afraid "elite defenders" are going the way of fullbacks in football....

Heard that Westbrook signed a one-year extension with a player option that extends his contract into the 2018 in which he could become a free agent.

Any of you contract savvy guys out there heard anything?

I doubt this. He can't legally sign anything until July 6 if I understand the rules correctly. It wouldn't make any sense for the Thunder to offer this, anyway, because it doesn't do anything to secure Westbrook at all, except, I suppose, kick the can down the road a year. It puts OKC in all-but the exact some position they're in right now, plus 365-days.

That's what he signed last year. He is locked up for this year and he has a players option for the year after.

    Great sigh of relief fellows.

Looked for the link, more likely that I panicked and blinked . . .

Did this last year. Can't sign anything until July 7.

From the basics and fundamentals of free throw shooting that I learned in junior high, I could make a 75% free throw shooter out of Roberson. We all know this, it takes coaching, time, repetition, and focus to get better at and be a good shooter from the line. It appears to me Roberson is getting and doing none of these. I find it hard to believe there is not a coach on the staff that can see his mechanical issues by watching him about 5 times in a game and help him correct those. Damn, it is not rocket science. Throwing a ball through a hoop from 15 feet with no one guarding you is not difficult. It frustrates me beyond belief to see him make the same mechanical mistakes every time he steps to the line, and the coaches/team just accepts that is how it is. End of rant. p.s. And right now he thinks he can't make free throws. That has to be dealt with too.

It's like Roberson gets stage fright when he goes to the line. Not sure how you fix that but maybe needs to see someone that can get him to relax. I have heard that he can hit 10 in a row at practice.

Holy )#(*, reports say Oladipo and Sabonis for PG13. Don't even care if it's a rental.

    *edit*

DeAndre Jordan makes FT's too when nobody is looking.

    Multiple sources, but here's one:

    Wow, definitely didn't expect this!

This is stunning! What an incredible move. There's a really good chance that Paul George is just a one-year rental, but it's worth the risk. This deserves a new thread.

PG13 is obviously an all-star (and a likely short-term rental), but this is all about convincing Westbrook that the front office is willing to make big moves and get him the help he needs in OKC. In any event, it's rather crazy to think that Sam basically turned Serge Ibaka into Paul George.

He turned Serge into Paul George and Jerami Grant.

You ever try this in the NBA ? It's a little different than Jr High. I remember Desmond Mason developed a 'hitch' in his free throw motion near the end of the season, and he made the statement he'd work on it over the summer to correct with a free throw specialist.
