Yes, always very busy, even during the week.

I noticed a lot of groups... Sports teams, churches. They do a really good job of promoting themselves.

I work for the company, and if we opened a 2nd location it wouldnt be for atleast another 6 years. We have plans to move more on the west coast and go international before opening more locations in smaller cities.

I was in Nashville last week and it looks like theyre building one right next to downtown, with skyscrapers in the background. Idk how much the land cost but it couldn't have been cheap.

Wow I just looked that up and it's surprisingly close to downtown. I'm sure it will be a booming success but that's a good chunk of land to acquire for such a project.

I wasn't there for the food in the first place obviously, but since we had to wait about 45 minutes for an available slot, we decided to try out the menu.
You aren't alone. Their food sucks. The drinks are overpriced for what you get. Beer is the only safe consumption option for me there.

Good to know I'm not alone in that opinion.

Nope not alone..... Only thing I will order out there if I get snacky is the guacamole.... They also rimmed the glass they served a mojito in with salt.... The mint oddly tasted like cilantro that night too.

Yeah the group that I went there with a few months back was not entirely impressed with the food, esp. considering the price. Some chose not to eat at all.

I always thought it would be cool if they contracted out their space for a local restaurant to move in. If something like S&B Burger Joint was the anchor restaurant in one of these that would be incredible.

That's because they probably stored the cilantro next to the mint in the fridge. The cilantro will totally overpower the mint.

    What a rookie mistake...

Don't understand why they wouldn't get their food right. If they're already killing it, think how much more they could be making with good food.

Agreed that the food isn't great, but it's as good as it needs to be.

I remembered there was a thread here a while back about Topgolf, so I thought I'd dig it up for a late review...imagine my surprise that it's fairly recently updated!

I've been going here for the past couple months; my first visits in May turned into an opportunity to take lessons, which I had been shopping around for. In my experience, this is a good-tempered place with truly something for everybody, from non-golfers to duffers to scratch players who like to loosen up.

Bringing your clubs is treated the same as how one brings their balls to bowl; I'll usually bring a couple of wedges and my mid to short irons. The house clubs are decent, though, and there are junior sizes available behind the desk too. I've never had a problem with bringing my driver—heck, my last lesson was based on driving! I consistently hit off the second deck though; it's not much higher than many elevated tee boxes on a course, and perhaps as high as some of the really high ones. The length is just fine. Hitting a ball over 200 yards is long as it is.

I've worked it out that for myself, it's actually cheaper during the day than the range at Hefner. I hit around 200 balls an hour at 20 per. 30 balls at the range is 3.25, with a pail holding 90 for 9.75, IIRC. Plus, the balls at Topgolf are softer like everyday balls; not only do they feel authentic, I whipped out some old persimmon I have with none of the fear I would have of hurting them that I would with the rock-hard standard range balls. You do hit off mats, but it's not too bad an adjustment to make.

I've done very well with the lessons, personally. There's at least one guy on staff who's a PGA pro. I believe it when I hear of the leagues using bend-the-rules strategy, but there's as much of a golf experience as you'd like here.

Plus, it's great to be able to run out at night every now and then—double rate then, after all—and hit balls in the rain and gloom of night.

Looks like some portions of the net came down with the ice, but didn’t look like the posts were damaged.

That wasn't even a bad ice storm. They really need to come up with some kind of deicing system. Or maybe have the nets on a pooly system that can be lowered.

Since last year where ice brought down the nets and bent and ruin the supporting poles as well, it seems they have installed a new system where the nets release if they get too heavy.

Haven't been by but I bet the few nets that came down were mere reattached.

The bays have been closed this weekend for net repair and they still had two sections between the poles that were down. If they did use hooks that are design to break, its still a big pain to hang the nets back up.

This is correct. They designed the nets to fall down so they don’t rip the pole down.

Was just driving near TopGolf and it appears the nets were affected a bit by the storm.

Yeah, the nets are more sensitive to weight and wind now. But hanging them back up is a lot easier than replacing broken polls and nets
