Thread: Smoking in Casino Event Centers

Default Smoking in Casino Event Centers

I'm trying to see Boston (the band), they're playing in 3 casinos here in the state next month but I have a question, do any of the casinos below allow smoking in their event center? I can't stand smoke so I'm hoping it's non-smoking in the actual concert area, but I doubt it is.

Thu 05/11/17 Catoosa, OK The Joint @ Hard Rock Casino / Tulsa

Fri 05/12/17 Newkirk, OK First Council Casino

Sat 05/13/17 Shawnee, OK The Grand Event Center

I've only been to shows at Riverwind and the arena is smoke free but you have to walk through the smoke in the casino to get to it.... Would guess these would be the same.

No experience with those but like BBQ said when I went to Riverwind it was smoke free. They advertise it as a kid friendly venue so I'd imagine other Casino's would be similar.

Call them up and you'll probably get the answer from them - But the Riverwind is the only one I've expierenced and years ago it was smoke free.

shawnee event center was smoke-free, but casino was smoking. there may be an entrance to the event center on the north side you can enter without going through the casino.

never been to the others, but shawnee has fantastic sound and is small - i think the boston show is general admission floor but balcony (which isn't big) is reserved.

Just remembered I saw Ralphie May at Grand Casino and that show was non-smoking.... Not aware of any entrances that don't take you through the smoking casino though.

All of the event centers are non smoking. Hard Rock has an entrance not far from the event center. I'm 99% sure The Grand has one that you don't go in the casino at all.

A related question... are there any 100% smoke-free casinos in the metro area?

there are no smoke free Casinos.

If I had to choose I'd don the Joint at Hard Rock in Tulsa. its a great venue. and non smoking

Hard Rock has an upstairs area that's smoke free. The area of The Grand that was the old event center is smoke free. Neither are very big.
