Thread: BOK Park Plaza

I would love it if this building had been taller. More room for additional skyscrapers and the existing building stock that was demolished could have been saved. This building is a fail in every way possible not the least of which is the lack of height. Oh well, it's still nice to see growth in OKC.

My office is in the same building and my window looks straight downtown. Will try to get a picture if it clears up this morning but I agree. From the northwest the building looks very "girthy" and appears to stretch the skyline to the west significantly. Now there's a big gap between BOK and the Devon tower from the northwest that will hopefully get filled in at some point in the near future.

whew.. I may have to disagree. To me they just look cheap and ugly. It is quite insulting. Its offensive to me as a citizen that one of our last blocks of historic buildings was destroyed for something that not only is so off scale to pedestrians and a detriment to our walkable urban fabric but also so cheap and ugly. The tower is cool and looks great in the skyline, but the project as a whole - when you are actually down there among the behemoth garages - feels like a big f-you to the people of the city.

The inconsistency of the panels on that garage makes it obvious it was put up in pieces.

I fear the same sort of system will be used on the larger and even more visible garage at Sheridan & Walker.

They should just leave the Sheridan/walker garage alone it looks fine as it is.

Pete's referring to BOKPP's "West Garage", which will be built on the NW corner of Sheridan and Walker, directly across the street from the current "Sheridan Walker Garage"

Haha I know. Had to edit what I'd written initially cause it felt like I kept saying "garage" too much and it was starting not to sound like a real word.

Thanks! Snapped it last night with my DJI Phantom 3. Hadn't realized how perfectly it framed the new tower and crane until I pulled it up on my computer.

Cool! It almost looks like an arrow piercing through the top of the building and coming through the bottom. Or the other way around.

The more I look at this building, the more I like it. I am impressed with how much it stretches and adds to the skyline on the western edge. I am really looking forward to it's completion and having the crown lighted at night.

This building looks better than I expected it to when I saw the preliminary images.

How do you import images so that they're big like yours is Pete? Every time I've posted pictures on there, they end up really small.

My question is what are we going to do with this new extra space that is going to be in the market once they leave the old building. I think we're fresh out of companies to come in and take up the space like we had with Devon/Continental.
