New Hotel Corporation coming to OKC

Hyatt is coming to Oklahoma City. Maybe not by name, however, Hyatt has aquired Amerisuites Hotels. I do not know if they will be renamed, however, it is a new company to Oklahoma City in the fact Hyatt now owns them.

Wall Street Journal had an article on Thursday about it. Basically all the corporate owned AmeriSuites will have a Hyatt tied in with the existing name. All the franchises will not change.

Too bad Hyatt wouldn't look at the Oklahoma City market, but I suppose where not enough "upscale" for their tastes!

Sure we are. We have a very diverse market for lodging. A majority of it is mariots and la quintas because we have a lot of auto trans state travelors coming through, but we have a thirsty upscale market (particularly Downtown) as well.
