What property is this going on? I had a customer in Wichita ask me last week if I knew about this.

How many casinos can this state really support?

If you think that poor, uneducated people are the majority of those who frequent casinos you are greatly mistaken. It is very much a complete cross section of society.

    True that.

I was at Winstar last year for a birthday party and saw a guy playing a $100 machine... Each spin cost him $100...

He was pushing that button like it was a penny machine. Blew my mind.

True, that was a short sighted comment, guess I shouldn't judge by looks.

I just can't fathom sitting hours in front of slot machines. Playing craps (not this card craps BS) with friends for hours is fun and entertaining.

Sounds they are trying to emulate the success that Winstar has had. I guess the plan is to draw people from Wichita, but there is a casino south of Wichita about 20 miles.

Yeah people from Kansas aren't going to come to this one. Esp for the upper level table games like craps and roulette, ect. We have "card" craps and "card" roulette which is just ridiculous. Also no one is going to drive down here to pay $.50 a hand for blackjack. Oklahoma needs to step their gaming rules up cause all they have going for them is slots, which isn't much.

Winstar only works because Casino's aren't legal in Texas. If Texas ever legalizes it, bye bye winstar. It's why the tribes spend millions every year lobbying against it in Texas.

I told my customer in Wichita that, and he said that Kansas Star is state owned and the odds are less than the Indian casinos. I don't know enough about it but I thought it sounded weird. I know I would not come to Oklahoma if I liked games like craps or roulette.

Did this thing ever get off the ground? I haven't driven up that way in a long time.

We drove up to Wichita a few weeks ago along I-35, only thing near Braman is the South Wind Casino (Exit 231) just before the state line.
