    Bricktown3 Pretty Please Social Room

Seeking to “make Bricktown pretty again”, local proprietors plan to open a new bar and restaurant near the Bricktown Canal and hope to draw in those who typically frequent Midtown and The Plaza districts.

Ivan Cantera and Daniel Howard have both helped manage bars in Bricktown and say that Pretty Please will change with the seasons, with different colors, plants and food depending on the time of year.

Last home to the Bricktown Music Hall, the space at 104 Flaming Lips Alley has been vacant for a couple of years. Pretty Please is in the process of a major renovation including the large outdoor deck which faces the alley.

In addition to featuring craft beer from local breweries, Pretty Please will offer a variety of gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, with soups, salads, cheese plates and appetizers. Beer and wine flights and parings will be featured.

The patio will be dog friendly and the interior will feature TV's, board games and a cozy décor. DJ's will be featured on weekend nights.

The new enterprise will join a slew of new operations near the canal, as the old Captain Norm's space will soon get a complete re-do as Plundr after the first of the year, and more bars and restaurants are in various stages of planning.

Pretty Please Social Room will be operate 6 days a week in the evenings, with the possibility of adding lunch/day hours later.

Doors should open before the end of the year.

Not sure on the name. Sounds like a wedding planning company, event space, or cupcake shop.

I don't get the name either. has a strip club feel to it.

I agree, name is pretty terrible. But concept seems interesting and different. Maybe they aren't set on the name and will come up with something much better.

It's really cool space; surprisingly so.

The patio has potential, but that alley is not a nice thing to look at. It is dark, dirty, and lined with dumpsters and utility units. Not something I want to hang out around while having drinks outside. If they can get the entire alley cleaned up, maybe has a chance, but I won't hold my breath for this location.

one of the pics shows the bar with some taps...there's only 6? Personally I think that's a mistake. I'd like to see as many local brews on tap there as possible... in addition to some great national micro brews.
Agree about the stinky ally. Hopefully they can get the area cleaned up.

Did they use the marketing company that thought Gigglez Bar & Grill was a good name?

They had their grand opening last night and it was a ton of fun.

They've done a really nice job with that space.

They should start to serve food later this week. From their FB page (because I tried and failed to take decent photos on NYE):

I honestly don't have an issue with the name; it's a fairly common thing to use phrases as names, even odd ones. Please Don't Tell, Misery Loves Co., Charlie Was A Sinner, etc. come to mind.

They have started to serve food (soups are turkey sausage and kale, tomato bisque, and a chicken poblano).

    Hours are 5pm-2am Tuesday-Sunday
Food hours are 5pm-12am Tuesday-Thursday. Friday and Saturday 10pm cut off

I don't mind the name, it's unique. I love what Daniel did to the spot.
