I want a free beer for a year coupon! I don't see why they wouldn't.

How do you get free beer for a year?
At Christmas we bought our Vendors Gift Certificates.. for every $50 Gift Card, you got a Certificate for Free Beer for a Year... we gave those to our vendors too who loved it.
We kept one for ourselves, but unfortunately, haven't used it nearly enough. I think we need to head to Bricktown soon.
" You've Been Thunder Struck ! "
Is this like a zoo pass? Can you check it out and share it with friends? LOL. kidding. but yea, I would definitely get some use out of that card before the new management decides to 86 it.
This is awesome news...Worst part about the Brewery is you get to enjoy the smell all afternoon if you go there for lunch...Always hated that about the Brewery and Earl's
The restaurant will feature less smoked meats, and more grill items with a menu makeover within two weeks. The restaurant switched to a menu heavy on barbeque several years ago. The owners are looking at adding ventilation that will eliminate the camp fire smell that lingers with guests long after a meal is over.
I guess it will stay local. And change the upstairs to a banquet hall? Good luck with that. The only business they MAY get will be during the Christmas season. I myself will never step foot into the brewery again.
Yeah the banquet thing is extremely weak....Not that I went often to the Brewery, but getting rid of the live music for more banquet room is LAME
What sounded intriguing has now turned into the same excitement we get when say a Golden Corral announces renovations
There are a ton of dance clubs down there...who is left with live music? If I were another live music venue in bricktown *cough* *tapwerks* I would really take this opportunity to promote for business.
The Bricktown Ballroom is helping pick up the slack, but that's not them scheduling shows, it's shows looking for a venue renting the place out.
yea, exactly. same owners - you just pay them to play instead of them paying you. It's great for contests or concerts but not just live music.
New management just took over. For those that didn't already know, Bricktown Brewery was sold to the people that own Coach's. New management took over on the 1st so I'm sure there will be more changes to come.
Well it looks as if they are just updating the downstairs, switching up the menu and making the upstairs banquet rooms

You guys must not have tried to find meeting/banquet space in awhile, especially in Bricktown. Most of the palces - Rocky's, Crabtown, Makers stay pretty booked up in the summer. We had hell a time finding space for a class reunion & we started early.
I will miss the upstairs at the Brewery, but if ain't working, it ain't working.
The only reason why it isn't working is because they don't know how or don't care to promote or put effort into it. And everyone knows they had a horrible paying system set up for the bands. I definitely won't miss that side of it, but what really ticks me off is the manner in which this new management handled things. He's there one day and cancels all shows? Which, by the way he also neglected to tell half of them that their show was cancelled. If he knew this was the way he wanted to go then he should have at least honored his current schedule and stopped booking shows in the future. What about bands like Winter Circle that was supposed to play there Saturday night? They have had this planned for a while with guests coming in from Dallas. Where would they find a last minute venue, especially on Cinco De Mayo. So, their guest band gets screwed as well. I've spoken with a couple of other bands from Dallas this morning that had shows scheduled there and they STILL didn't know they were cancelled!! I just think that's crappy and I don't care how nice the banquet rooms are or how hard it is to find one...I will not give one red cent to the new brewery.
I can't BELIEVE they aren't going through with this weekend's shows. That's pretty tacky.
Yeah, the Brewery is going to lose alot of regulars business because of this. I understand and know that banquet space is at a premium, but heck what do they have, like 4 floors? Go ahead and renovate ALL of the floors. Keep the music upstairs and put banquet space up on the 3rd or 4th floor with perhaps lofts or office space on one of the other floors. Geez
sounds like a great idea metro. lofts are a premium buy in bricktown also, so that would be great income. the only problem with that is they would HAVE to fix the elevator for this idea...and I doubt they would do that. You know how many times I've had to help carry band equipment up those stairs!! exhausting.
All I have to say is Jim Cowan was a go getter..........He took a product that was est. with Wakland and Nixions Better Than Ezra, and kept live music going .......with the help of David BOx.......However you cant judge a man for making better decisions for his family......this "aint" LA.......Bricktown was lost and Cowan stepped up......BIG TIME.......No one even knows the jist of it but on the other hand no one makes money in BT either because no one can work together.......and that is why Jim COwan is now taking over, because he understands the animosity that should never exist.....things are on the up and up!!!!
johnnyboy...They are on the up and up if you enjoy banquets
Would have preferred someone else have bought it with the intention of making it an even better live music venue
Just plain exciting knowing the OKC Women's Banker Assoc will have more options for their meetings
I've organized several parties at the Brewery specifically due to the upstairs area.
The bar up there is a great place to gather, then you could have one of the private rooms and listen to music afterwards.
Their food is nothing special and without the upstairs I won't have much reason to go any more.
However, the area upstairs had not been busy either of the two Saturday nights I had been in the last couple of years, and there was a lot of space up there. I can understand why they'd want to do something different with it.
And yes, there is very little banquet/party space in Bricktown/Downtown and it stays pretty booked.
Are the bands that were playing at the brewery going to start playing at tapwerks? I think box talent had both places.
