Hello friends,

I just wanted to let you all know about the wonderful experience I had on ExpressJet's new direct service to Albuquerque.

The plane was a regional jet, clean, quiet with leather seats.

Complimentary XM radio with free headphones. A full can of soda and....get this....FOOD

Free Sandwiches or Pasta, with Chips, Cookie, etc

Great service for the same price as American and half the time spent travelling.

Kudos all around.

I'm really glad to hear this because they have non-stops between Los Angeles Ontario and OKC and schedule in advance, it's only about $200!

I hope to take advantage sometime this summer.

I usually go out there at least once a year to visit, and since my mom is retiring from SWA really soon, I'm going to have to start paying for my flights, and THAT is a good deal right there.

If ABQ (sorry, I have trouble spelling that city) is the closest major airport west. then how can the flight be direct? I HAS to be non stop.

I know that on ONE flight they had a total of SIX passengers a few days ago. It is still early though and I hope things really pick up and they succeed here.

One thing to note...the service isn't a month old yet. Airline routes typically take 6 to as much as 18 months to develop. It is all about having patience...which ExpressJet likely will have. They are picking their routes very carefully...and will eventually see the benefits from them. The only thing that I wish would happen is more PR about this service. Anyone listening to Kiss FM knows we have charter service to Mexico now...how about the XJet cities?

XJet service is definitely high quality...and should hopefully become more and more successful as word spreads.

Yeah, although the website has been updated with all the new XJet service and routes, the TV ads need to be updated as well (I dunno why WRA is still airing the LAX service ad). Radio stations-I haven't even once heard about the new XJet service.

Glad to know the loads picking up, the first day of the service it only had a handful of pax. With the product being this high quality, XJet should be pretty successful. My parents are flying down to Austin this month on XJet, should be interesting to see what they say.

They DO have great fairs. I just looked up a round trip from OKC to LA/Ont for 2 adults and an infant, non-stop and it was under $500.
