What a lovely parking garage canyon.
What a lovely parking garage canyon.
It's also now a total of 5 skybridges into and out of the Devon complex.
Does anyone know the floor count they have reached? is 13 about right?
I believe they're working on 16
Here's today's view of the construction from my office. The building is going to be a huge addition to the skyline looking northwest of downtown. If my map-viewing skills are correct, the convention center hotel should help pull the skyline even further west. Hopefully at some point there will be additional high-rises to provide some density to the "new" western portion of the skyline (RIP OGE Energy Center).

There is retail on the Main St. side and the Sheridan St. side.
I believe the North garage has most of the proposed retail. Directly across from the Main Street garage that has Non Profit and retail components.
If you check the schematic in photo 16, you can see the space dedicated for retail. It takes up about 2/3 of the main street frontage.
From this morning; they are now working on the 17th floor:

10 floors to go!
I went to a wedding reception at the Petroleum Club Saturday night and was talking with a friend who is an architect about the "Parking Garage District". He laughed and said show me, so I pointed out the two under construction, Main Street, Devon and the Sheridan/Walker parking garage. He commented that it's too many in the same area and they are all obviously parking garages, it's not like a parking garage wrapped in residential or office like midtown/deep deuce. I just thought it was interesting coming from an architect.
I would assume they are going to raise the crane after this floor is complete.
Great view from the regatta this weekend. Skyline will really change from that angle.
From I-40 / I-235 angle, it looks to me that the glass on this building is slightly 'lighter' than the exterior of Devon.
^^ Yea you have a different angle to showcase. No matter now though, seeing it rise the final 10 floors is whats important now. Thanks for the pics all!
