I still can't believe hockey in Oklahoma City has come to this.....from AHL hockey with legit NHL stars to junior hockey at a local ice rink. What a one horse town.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are well established (263 consecutive sellout; 18,203 since 2010) ; therefore an ECHL AA-hockey team (includes, Tulsa & Wichita) would be a welcome sight to OKC's sports portfolio.

New State Fair Arena proposed could seat 10,000-plus for ice hockey and be ready by 2019.

Meanwhile, the Cox Arena or the current State Fair Arena (City supply ice plant & dasher boards) could be a temporary home.
