Thankfully no one on the ground was hit. This could have been a much greater catastrophe.

I don't see why they wouldn't. At Hobby Lobby, we're covered for personal injury/loss of life in the event of such an accident. Safety is really a #1 priority there...so much so if you're caught with your cellphone out in the warehouse it's an automatic termination. It's a good rule though.

Went by the site this morning and there were definitely people working but couldn't tell if it was a full crew.

Doubt it was a full crew. OSHA will probably have the site shut down for awhile.

From tonight. It looks great. Downtown is shaping up wonderfully. Loved driving through downtown tonight.

Normally work lights woulld be lit up on all floors, so that shows how they've shut down work due to the recent tragedy.

From this afternoon. Will be very dominating on the view from the park when topped out. I'm very impressed so far.

As Pete pointed out above the site is quiet and still.

Terrible. I hope his friends and family find comfort. I can't imagine the pain.

HA! I just noticed that the three pics I have taken from the same view so far that the light has been green in each one.... But whenever I am driving through that intersection it never seems to be green!

Can't wait for the NBA ESPN shots with this thing almost topped out and the crane at its highest!

When they first completed Devon Tower, TNT still showed a pre-Devon tower skyline for awhile, not even shots of it in construction were on.

It seems they use stock footage apart from the playoffs.

Yea TNT was using a clip/loop of the canal all lit up last year, but it was old and it looked like the canal was lifeless. When in reality, a live shot would have shown tons of activity.

Can't really justify paying a crew to setup for live shots for every nationally televised game. I do agree I wish they would shoot the stock footage on a warm Friday evening with a ton of people around though.

Why can't a local production company go out and shoot on a game night, which would have quite a bit of activity, and sell the footage t the stations televising the games.

Or just have the CC provide it to them free. Best to sell the best look possible and otherwise it's free advertising.
