    Default Quizno's on Stiles

I've noticed that Quizno's on Stiles has closed. (Near the Health Sciences Center.)

Anyone know what might go in there?

I just checked and there haven't been any new building permits issued.

May just sit vacant for a while.

The food service is open in the Jim Thorpe building as of last week. They are operating under the name Health Nut Cafe. I think it may be the folks from the Quizno's, but I hadn't been in there for so long I probably don't remember.

The food was good, however I have only tried one item so far.

Health Nut Cafe is a restaurant that already has a few locations across downtown; they are not, to the best of my knowledge, affiliated with the Quizno's folks. I believe the Jim Thorpe location was relocated there from their old "Central Park" location, inside the Williams building. Their website is http://healthnutcafe.net/.

I've eaten at the one inside the University Health Club on Lincoln for a few years, and it's quite tasty stuff. My favorite thing there is the Wild Alaskan Salmon Melt.

I use to frequent the Quizno's on Stiles and it was owned by a super nice guy named Fred. They also had the Quizno's at 15th and Air Depot but it closed about 5 or 6 years ago. I remember his son use to work at the Stiles location as well and one day Fred told me his son was branching out and opening his own restaurant named Health Nut Café.

Well then! Consider me corrected. I was completely unaware of that. They're doing good things with the Health Nut Cafe... I hope they continue to grow.

I don't believe Quiznos and Health Nut are related/affiliated companies. I think its just coincidental that Fred's son was associated with the Health Nut Cafe. Health Nut has been there for several years now and has since expanded. I guess Fred decided it was time to move on from Quiznos and work with his son?
