I think it took them two days, right?
Pretty awesome. How did they choose OKC / Cotter Ranch?
^^^^^^^
My guess is that they were looking for a specific building height and setup in the region, and Cotter Ranch Tower most closely qualified. Cotter is also a Texan, so perhaps there was a connection there..?
They also have a large non busy plaza area with Cotter Ranch which allowed it to happen.
Yeah, that's part of what I meant by "setup." That said, many downtowns have lifeless plazas on weekends. But I think you and I are saying the same thing; the building was probably chosen for a number of logistical reasons that fit their need.
Man I didn't know they were doing this. Those guys are great representation of Texas A&M and have a hilarious set of stereotype videos on YouTube as well.
I thought Cotter Ranch was 500 feet tall.
Well the curvature path of the ball was 533 feet. That'd be my guess ;-)
Does anyone else hat the name Cotter Ranch? People already think OKC is the same as it was in 1889, no need to reinforce that with a building named Ranch.
