Yes, this is technically outside of Edmond city limits, I believe, but the target customer base is obviously Edmond, and they even list this as the Edmond location on their site.

    Hudsons Public House

I haven't had a chance to check out the recently opened Edmond location yet. Has anyone else? I love the Bricktown location, but this one is 3 miles or so from my house, so pretty convenient. It's nice to have another non-smoking place to watch sports in Edmond, so I'm pretty excited.

Been by there countless times while it was being built as it's less than a mile from my place. Looks like a cool place to drop in for a cold one now and then.

I'm looking forward to trying them out. I've always thought their menu looked good, but haven't ever gone to their Bricktown location.

I got blasted for referring to this location as Edmond when they first announced even though it has an Edmond address! I'm saying its Edmond!

Went Tuesday night. Both meals we ordered were good. Good menu selection too. They have a good beer selection and a nice set up for game watching. This will be a good march madness spot!

Server forgot to enter our order so it ran pretty slow. Manager paid for part of it so I was satisfied. I'll definitely be back... Especially since it's less then a mile from my house.

Sounds like we have the making of the Edmond OKCTalk meetup location!

Went by last Thursday to check it out. Nice place, plenty big. It's very open, and honestly feels a little "generic Edmond restaurant." Really didn't feel any difference than sitting inside Louie's or the Edmond Bricktown Brewery. Not a bad thing, and probably what they were going for, but honestly, without signage, if you blindfolded me and put me inside the place, I couldn't tell you where I was. Very open, brightly lit, lots of windows, as well. It's nice to have another non-smoking place in Edmond to watch sports, but it didn't feel comfortable enough to just hang out at.

Haha, so true about the decor in a lot of those places.

BTW, I've become a pretty big fan of Skinny Slim's in Edmond. Not as much as the Bricktown location but it's close and has the added benefit of serving food and being a big bigger.

They have certainly found their following and that's not surprising because there just aren't many good bars anywhere near.

That may be my problem. I work about 40 feet from that Skinny's and am there quite regularly, so it's sort of my standard for a "hangout" place. Although I'm still working on getting Graham to put my name on a stool...

The Skinny's guys do a great job of creating a warm, friendly, neighborhood tavern kind of place.

It's the first of the new breed of places in OKC that I loved.

My wife and I went by yesterday for lunch. I'd agree with what you said. The food wasn't as good as hoped, but nothing wrong with it. I am sure I'll go back. They weren't very busy at all, which makes me hope they'll do okay right there.
