I see where the folks in Luther are pleading with Walmart to "bring back their field" in regards to the closing of the Walmart Express, that was built less than a year ago on land that was formerly home the Luther Schools football stadium, but was sold to Walmart after the completion of their new football stadium and high school on the other side of town.
I used to live out that way and after moving back into town, I've still kept in contact with friends that still live in the area. The deal with Walmart was no secret.
Seems to me that their protests are misdirected and should be aimed at the city leaders who green lighted the sale in the first place. Where were they when the property was being sold?. They should instead be asking their city council to make it right. And while they're at it, request a full accounting of where the funds from the sale were directed.
