Couple of thoughts;
1. One of his points is something like "Who has ever heard of Rayo Vallecano?..."
Well, a lot more Now that they announced they are backing OKC. A lot more since you mentioned them in your blog. And a lot more when the team starts the season. And...isn't that the point, you dumbass?
2. ANY criticism of ANYONE coming from DC United fans, who have been pathetic for years, AND who play in the absolute WORST stadium in the league, is really laughable. Seriously, Taft Stadim and Miller Stadium are PALACES compared to that dump!
D.C. United tallied a total of only 3 wins in the 2013 season, setting a record for fewest wins in league history.bDespite the team's poor showing in league play, D.C. United defeated Real Salt Lake in the U.S. Open Cup final. This qualified the team to participate in the 2014-15 CONCACAF Champions League. In 2014, D.C. United executed a historic turnaround by clinching first place in the Eastern Conference, which also earned the team its second consecutive Champions League berth.
Hmmmm, even when they suck, they still managed to win a Cup. Yeah they are horrible! But they are not Rayo Vallecano horrible.
My point is this; DC United's attendance last year was 17th, out of 20. For anyone associated with them to talk about how good/bad another team may/may not perform in their own community is questionable, at best. And for them to use terms like "dusty suburbs" when describing us is kind of insulting.
I would tell them to fix their own problems before looking to diagnose anyone else's
Been hearing rumblings and rumors that since the NASL suspended operations of the Atlanta Silverbacks, Rayo maybe inheriting all their players. Any truth to that?
Havent heard anything yet. I also saw today that Peter WIlt, formerly of Chicago Fire and Indy Eleven is now part of a group working to bring a NASL team to Chicago. They "say" they have financial backing to actually privately fund a stadium. We'll see
I asked one of the owners about this. He said that’s news to him….. :-) He said Rayo did sign one of the Silverbacks, but the deal was like 2-3 weeks ago He said that , as far as he knows, all the ATL players were on year-to-year contracts, so after the season they were all free agents.
Apparently, San Antonio only had 3 players still on contract for 2016, so the rest of their roster was also “free”….
Also, he confirmed that there should be some player announcements by tomorrow.
SWEET!!!! First game:

Has there been any announcements if these games going to be on local TV or radio.
That doesn't seem like a bad get.
Also getting word that former Energy Keeper Bryan Byers will sign with Rayo OKC. Hoping Adam Black gets a chance with us, as well.

NASL to announce West Coast expansion within 1-2 months; multiple cities possible - Empire of Soccer
Sweet!Peterson reveals that as many as four new expansion teams and markets could be announced almost simultaneously. “The groups we have been in discussions with have been fantastic,” he said. “It has worked out organically that we could have multiple teams out there all at the same time. It could be as many as four [but] it is still early days.
two more solid signings today!
Congrats to Rayo Vallecano on their 3-0 win today!
Well that was cool! I just got to be on the Scissortail Podcast. Two guys, WIll and Porter, just wanted to start a podcast dealing with Rayo OKC. Great to see organic growth in interest for the team, not anything mandated or orchestrated by the team itself.
