An undefeated team will have a lot of pressure to maintain that status. Look what happen to the Iowa Hawkeyes who were replaced by Michigan State.

Oklahoma can't let all of this hype catch them blinded as what resulted in the Texas game.

Alabama vs. Michigan State game will be a knock down, drag out old fashion ballroom brawl.

Ohio State: Goodbye, happy life. This was yours for the taking...
Urban Meyer had a chance to repeat as national champions.

OU is already a 2.5 point favorite over Clemson.

But Bama has the best odds to win it all.

I believe the OU/Clemson winner will be the overall champ.

I think I like Bama. They have the best defense of the teams and they have a very strong RB. Defense wins championships as they say. Should be fun.

Front 7 is strong but that secondary is pretty suspect.

An update on packages to both the Orange Bowl and national championship game. At this time air is not included to Miami but I will update this if that becomes available.

We'll see how that changes over the remaining weeks. I don't like how OU is favored over the #1 team in the nation, I think it's just fuel for them to come out and rip the #4. I like being underdogs considering most of the "fans" and non-Football folk think OU shouldn't be sniffing the CFP due to lack of a conference champ. Basically we have the pundits and talking heads hyping up OU, and the rest of the country is treating them exactly like how everyone outside of the state of Ohio was treating tOSU last year.
All I can do is hope the team remembers last year and puts that somewhere in their mind when they go out and play.

Additionally, I read that the CFP put out a brief remark on MSU's ranking (which I'm totally fine with, btw), regarding OU playing too close to home. They said that in no way was Norman's geographic location to the Cotton Bowl taken into account (which means, it totally was. I find that funny considering when OU played FSU it was in... Florida.

Or when OU played LSU, it was played in... New Orleans.

Or when OU played Florida it was in... Florida...

Despite that being pre-CFP, it's interesting how they want to talk about that kind of stuff now. Anyway, I hope our Sooners fans represent the school and team well down there.

Yeah I hate to sound like a tinfoil hat type, but I just don't believe the seedings weren't gerrymandered to prevent OU-Bama in Jerryworld. And there's enough justification for MSU's ranking to provide adequate plausible deniability for any manipulation. But there was no way on earth they were going to give what would have effectively been a "home away from home" game to a lower seed.

And I had everything poised to pounce on tickets when the announcement for Miami came through

As for the field, I love the fact that there isn't one prohibitive favorite. Any of these four teams could win the whole thing. OU has no reason to fear ANY of the other three teams; respect, absolutely, but fear? Nope. Looking forward to it.

If the same OU and Clemson teams from the last 5 weeks show up OU scores 70 and wins by 50.

So ESPN isn't exactly having its way with the playoffs & big bowl games. It didn't help that most of the New Year's Day games were blow outs.

The College Football Playoff's response to its terrible TV ratings was sadly predictable - SBNation.com

Of course if you were like me (cord-cutter) you weren't watching that game at home anyway. I actually didn't realize it was occurring until about half way through the 4th quarter. Personally I think the game is just way too long after what I consider the end of the season (Jan 1).
