Pssst. The post you were responding to wasn't by an actual OSU fan.

Woman beaters? google Chris Collins for me or Tyreek Hill. And about Tyreek Hill when he got arrested for beating his pregnant girlfriend, she stated it wasn't the first time, but had never been this bad....

remember Gundy and his rant about being a man and 40, what reporter was he yelling and screaming at? You guessed it Jenni Carlson. If the coach treats a woman that way, I am not surprised he allowed Chris Collins on his team.

The best part about osu fans as much as they hate OU and OU fans, they know they cant get into a better conference without ou's help.

It was a great year for OSU, they won their cream puff nonconference games, but when they played the big boys at home, they couldn't handle it.
And while Filthy was being sarcastic... OKCretro was showing some great serious OU class...

When I was in the OSU marching band, I drove myself to Norman so I could go home for the weekend. Marching in the uniform carrying my instrument, if it wasn't for an entire OSU fraternity protecting me, I was about to get mobbed by OU fans. Neither excuses the other of course. Bedlam brings out the worse and should be addressed.
Yeah, stuff between fans has always existed and probably will. Bedlam usually isn't the proudest moment for both fan bases (I will say that I have seen OU fans intervene more than once when another OU fan was smack-talking a visiting Poke). But that behavior should stay in the stands. I'm just saying that when it makes its way to the field in the form of assaulting visiting players and staff, tripping, throwing objects, etc., it needs to be dealt with, and with a quickness. And NEVER defended by an administrator, sheesh. That was pretty shocking to read, honestly.

And I still say that a big part of the problem (when there is one) in Stillwater is the closeness of the stands to the field. It sortof begs for that type of confrontation, when heated rivals are playing, people are drunk, etc.. But since that is a known issue, it just seems like security would be on absolute lockdown, anticipating that behavior.

It probably contributes a bit to opposing player aggravation. In most places the bench is 10' or more from the stands, and the first row of spectator seats is only a couple of feet elevated. Heck, at Baylor the bench is probably 25' from the stands. In Stillwater the fans are only a couple of feet from players around the bench, and standing well above them, where the feel more protected from them. It's a lot more tempting to mouth off from the high ground, and due to the closeness, they can hear every word. I expect Boone Pickens is a pretty harrowing place to spend 60 minutes as a player. I'd probably keep my helmet on.

I saw this in response to situation....

Yes both fans have funs that yell things at the players during the game, but those are in the stands not on the field.

the last 2 times OU has played in Stillwater a person with access to the sideline has tried to trip an OU player. There just is no excuse for this behavior.

Also I feel sorry for reindeer anywhere near the vicinity of Stillwater. Wow that was worse than the tech guy ringing the bell.

Yes the big 12 needs to tell OSU to get rid of the first few rows of seats. For player safety and for security reasons as well. Its just not a safe environment.

The basketball stadium is similar. It's sort of a 12th man scenario, in their minds, normally.

Yeah, no doubt. It is a definite home-field advantage.

Bedlam behavior: A game can be big without getting ugly | News OK

Yes there were some idiot comments by OU fans on twitter, but you have to seek those comments out. Tripping on the sidelines just embarrassing.

Too bad Boone wasn't there to watch

Gundy was yelling at Jenni Carlson because Jenni Carlson sucks.

And he was defending/standing up for his players. When he loses he says he was outcoached. When other coaches lose, they throw their players under the bus (not naming names here....)

Full of OU class today aren't you? I'm sure the other OU fans are glad to have you in their company? Anyone?

So are you actually defending the osu sideline guy or the guy in the article or both?

    He didn't do either.

Exactly. I condemned the behavior completely and have been clear about it. But let's just say I'm glad you're (OKCretro) an OU fan and not an OSU fan because I wouldn't want you to represent us either.

For the record, OSU fans/bloggers are also condemning the tripping attempt: Whoops... The Stillwater Trip Happened Again | Pistols Firing

Although I will say the dyslexic joke is an old one. "Only a sooner would abbreviate the University of Oklahoma as OU." It was funny when I was in School at OSU.

Bowl projections have OSU in the Russell Athletic Bowl (Orlando). TCU is listed in the Alamo and Baylor in the Sugar.
