Does anyone remember this place when it was in Bricktown? They had the most amazing vegetable lasagna I have ever eaten. Anyone know of a place with good veggie lasagna? Dont say Zio's because their's stinks! Anyway, the place had a really great atmosphere and great food. I think it was across from Chelinos and it's a martini type place now.

Windy City, one of the original founding restaurants of Bricktown. Now it is the Daquari Zone.

They were just a little before their time. I thought the food and atmosphere was fantastic. Windy City along with Lotus (sushi) are definitely missed.

That is exactly what I was thinking okclee, I think Windy City would thrive right NOW.

I really liked Windy City and often ate there when I lived downtown.

I thought they were a tad bit expensive and service always seemed to be a let down. Mostly having to wait 30 minutes for a pizza when the restaurant was empty.

Also found their bar staff had no real liquor knowledge.

Never tried anything other than pizza, but it was always pretty good!

I agree, they jumped the gun a bit and would have done better now.

I thought Windy City's food sucked personally, at least most of the pizza did. It was a decent concept, just needed tweaking. As BailJumper said, service was lacking and prices a little too high. Typically if you walked in late, they wouldn't serve food even though the menu claimed they served late.

CM, there's a place around NW 70th and Western called Flip's Wine Bar and Trattoria that has excellent Italian food and a very large wine selection. The place has an eclectic European flare. I believe they have a vegetable lasagna dish.

In general, Flip's is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Windy City. Give it a try.

Yeah, I highly recommend Flips too, and if you love Tiramisu, it is a MUST!

I'm becoming more and more convinced that if metro doesn't like it, then I will surely enjoy it. This review just confirms that.

I loved Windy City and I miss it. It was the first restaurant in Bricktown that our family tried and we fell in love with it. I was truly sad to see it go.

Why PU?? because I've basically disliked two restaurants out of the tons I have posted? Most of the time when I comment the general consensus agrees with me, so that should mean something.

Windy City was decent, in my opinion, but it just didn't get the support it needed... and I'll agree with the fact that the service probably did it in. However, the Mrs. and I ate there several times while it was still active, and we were never disappointed when we actually got our meals... and we aren't just pizza folks.

Never been to the Daquiri Zone. I'm actually surprised it is still in business... must have a good media presence, and thus a loyal following.

One restaurant I will miss, although not in Bricktown, is Terra Luna. Loved their food, and they had a decent wine selection, and reasonable prices as well.
