    Default Bank for Small Business

I'm looking for a bank where I can open up a small business account. I'm not very familar with this process, does anyone have any recommendations?

Where are you located? It's a similar process at most banks but BOK is good, MidFirst, BankFirst. A very good, small business friendly bank is Great Plains National but in the OKC area they are only in the Piedmont area and in the Tuttle/Newcastle area. FNB Okla is a good bank which is located at 50th and Western (and they have a location on Hefner near the lake).

Yes, FNB Community Bank. They are still locally owned. Jim Segerstrom is the Commercial baking VP. 405-739-8780 Great guy for a business.

Lots of options then! I'd make it convenient to one or the other although once set up you probably can do most everything online. First Citizens Bank on Memorial is very small business friendly. James Davis is their Business Services Rep - 302-2702.

We bank at both FNB Oklahoma and RCB Bank (formerly Bank of Nichols Hills) downtown and I highly recommend both. FNB is more strictly commercial in focus, and also is excellent to work with on lending.

+1 for First Citizens on Memorial. My sister has worked there for quite some time and they are very small business friendly. They love to help out.

For several years I've used BOK; they offer a special small business account with no service charge so long as you have no more than 25 transactions per month, but the charge per transaction goes up pretty steep if you run over. My business is a highly specialized service and doesn't do that much traffic -- 5 or 6 deposits is pretty much the most, and the average is less than half that. I've never had a problem there.

Speaking from a small business owner point of view, I really like dealing with Legacy Bank on Memorial. They financed my home and also office construction as well as some company vehicles. In house loan decisions. Reeve Tarron is one of the up and coming young stars and is very active in the community. Frontier Bank (Steve Tritten) on South I35 has also done several small business loans for land as well as company cars but not sure if they have other locations. BancFirst has been very competitive with us but only after we got to the point that we had an actual vp assigned to us which gave us access to some in house programs.
