Orlando Magic vs. Oklahoma City Thunder - Box Score - February 02, 2015 - ESPN

Thunder will have a difficult task to bring down a tough Pelicans' team who ended Atlanta's win streak at 19 (115-100) . Oklahoma City is 13th in attendance among 30 NBA franchises; continues their streak of consecutive sellouts of 18,203 dating back since the 2010-11 season .

They are millionaires. They don't care if they win or lose.

KD is unlikely for these next two critical games. If we can keep Russ from going hero-mode and play like he did against Orlando, we may have a shot.

I feel like dropping these two games will almost seal our playoff fate (as not making it).

That was a vital road win tonight against the Pelicans. With KD out, the local pundits were almost universally predicting a loss. Now OKC is only two behind in the loss column to both the Pelicans and the Suns with a chance to gain one more against New Orleans this week.

...Spoiled homecoming for Pelicans after they snapped Atlanta Hawks 19 game streak

    Russell Westbrook, Superstar

Westbrook (45 pts) was all over the court; an energized bunny, jumping up & down--more impressive than that Jack-in-the-box clown.

The difference was the support he received from Morrow (14 pts), Ibaka (13 pts), Waiters (12 pts) Adams (8 pts), Perkins (6 pts) & Jackson (4 pts).

Yes he can. Like Laramie said he got some help last night but on any given night Westbrook can dominate a game when he's on.

DAMN, yea he was feelen it. That was like Game 5 of the 2012 Finals for him. Ibaka finally showing up in the 3rd was nice, also Perk has some great minutes in that quarter. Really set the pace for the close-out.

Nice to see Morrow get to keep playing and not be benched so quickly, he had those critical back-to-back threes that really put the pressure on NOL.

Time to do it all again tomorrow.

I think 48 games is the max that will be needed to make the playoffs (.585) because:

    1. The East is better this year 1 through 8 than last year (though not quite as good 1&2)
    2. The 2 seed in the West is still very much up for grabs, let alone 3 and 4, so teams 2 through 7 will continue to fight hard and beat teams like OKC/PHX/NO.

I think 47 wins is even more likely…but assuming 48…OKC is currently at 25 with 33 games left. They need to shoot for no worse than 23 - 10 (.697) to close out the season.

    7 wins, 3 losses at a time

How cool is this? Couldn't we do mind-blowing things with this at the Peake.

After the loss tonight by the Suns, the Thunder are only one game in the loss column out a playoff spot. A win on Friday against New Orleans is vital.

As per my previous post, they are one game behind both in the loss column. That is what counts.

Anyone else totally bored with the Thunder on offense? No pass and Westbrook or Jackson going to the hole to toss up a wild one. That's what caused me to check out of basketball back when Sampson was coaching the Sooners.

Heartbreak home loss last night, the kind we usually inflict upon other teams. K.D. doesn't appear to be at full strength--FGM-A: 9 for 26 (34%), 3-PM/A 3 for 10 (33%). He'll get better as time goes on.

Time to focus on the Los Angeles Clippers. Chris Paul's complaint about a female official was exaggerated; how will the officials react if he continues to complain? Will they serve up the Perkins' special?

It's basketball Edgar; sometimes it depends on the way the ball bounces.

I just hope they fire Scott Brooks and start fresh with a new coach.
