Thread: OnCue May & Hefner

The Conoco on the corner of May & Hefner sold on 1/16/15 to OnCue.

They paid $1.25 million for the .6635 acre parcel.

I would expect them to start demolition and construction soon.

Also hearing word that OnCue is coming to Council and I-40/Reno there just north of BJ's next to the Outlet Shoppes. Should be open by August I am told.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a demo and an OnCue placed in that location. The entire corner, including the properties containing the now closed gas station and KFC are owned by the same LLC.

Would be a great store for them, as the 7-11 cater-corner has horrible ingress/egress...
I don't know. It could have just went out of business. There is one on the south side of town on 104th and May that is closed.

That would be three Oncue's in close proximity to each other. Future one on May and Hefner, Western and Memorial, and 122nd and Penn. But, with so much new development set to occur I'm sure there will be demand for more gas stations.

    That Circle K at 122nd & Penn hasn't sold.

I just saw that the LLC behind most or all of OnCues land purchases just bought a couple acres at 10th and Portland too. Quite aggressive in their expansion. But there was a huge hole for I guess what you would call upscale convenience stores.

True. I'm surprised but pleased with the increased density of locations being pursued by OnCue. That would put one at 10th and Portland; Reno and MacArthur and Council and Reno.

Here is an updated location map:

I know a few years back Oncue tried to buy land in Mustang. Wonder whatever happened there and if they are going to try and make a move there sometime. That part of the map seems a little blank. Maybe even over on the east side like 152 and 59th.

What's the latest on this? The Discount Tire and old Conoco are completely gone. Have permits been filed yet to start construction? Are there drawings of what it is going to look like? I realize it will look similar to the rest but I didn't know what changes they had to make since they didn't get the vet office next door.

No building permit as of yet.

Off-topic, though not exactly worthy of a new thread, but the Taco Cabana just north of this intersection recently closed shop.

Not coincidentally, 7 Eleven just filed for $100K remodel of their store at this intersection.

That whole side of May on that block is going dark. First Wendy's, then Dugout, then Taco Cabana...Of course, The Dugout is supposedly "remodeling".

Looks like work at this site has started.

This should be interesting to watch. OnCue and 7-Eleven both will be building at the same time or close to it - at the same intersection.
I'm still not sure, is 7-Eleven going to demo the current building and rebuild at the same location?

No, and they aren't even expanding the building, just doing a big remodel.

While they aren't expanding the footprint, they are expanding their total space, taking over the whole building. They're already working on the renovation in the empty space to the north, with plans to continue into the store, keeping the store open through the renovation.

Drove by the construction site yesterday. Looks like the giant steel beams have been sunk into the ground for the pump island.

I hope so. That 7-11 remodel is a hot mess right now.

It looks like they haven't done anything at this location in almost a month. Does anyone know what the delay is?

It definitely is moving slowly. Meanwhile, the remodeled 7-11 across the street is pretty nice.
