Empire on FOX

I know I can't be the only one who watches this show!!

The best way to describe it is a 2010's rehash of Dynasty or Dallas set to hip-hop. Very soap opera-y and kinda campy, but entertaining nonetheless.

I know the ratings for the first two episodes have been very good, looks like Fox has a hit!

Our TV dance card is full, we have so much stuff on backlog, it's incredible. Saw the commercials, thought it might be interesting, but since the wife wants to watch damn near every Thunder game, doesn't leave time for much else except our shows that we are already watching.

I was forced to watch it last week. I agree -- it wasn't bad at all. It was much more entertaining than I thought it might be. It just didn't include a ball or science, so I can't in good conscience make it appointment television.

I saw this morning the ratings have now trended upward for 2 episodes straight, which is an extremely rare feet for a new show (most drop off a little before settling into a rhythm). If your not on the Empire bandwagon jump on now!

Looks like there's only 3 episodes left. Last night's episode was by far the best one yet. Very campy and entertaining but still touches on some serious issues (homophobia in hip hop, struggles with mental disorders, infidelity, etc.). And the music is surprisingly good.

This show is a hit, last I heard it is the highest rated show on broadcast TV right now and 2nd highest on all TV after the Walking Dead. I'm loving that shows with diverse casts are big hits right now. It's probably too late to jump in now, but if you haven't seen it yet I would definitely make time for Hulu viewing.

I watched the entire season up to last nights episode last weekend. One of my new favorite shows.

Don't know how I missed this. But the season finale aired last Wednesday and it was EVERYTHING! Heard it was the most watched season finale of a new show in 10 years.

The show is still available for free on FOX but should be migrating over to Hulu soon. I would definitely make it a summer regular if you have missed it.
