Tom Cruise is such an awful actor...

I'm watching Rainman. If it weren't for Dustin Hoffman, an excellent actor, the movie would
have been a complete failure.

I honestly don't believe Tom Cruise should be called an actor. He's awful. No, worse than
awful. If my great grand mother, who wasn't an actress, was cast in Tom Cruise's part the
show would have received an Oscar nomination.

Any woman would be a better "male" actor (LOL) than Tom Cruise. Seriously, about the
only actor he can claim to be better than is Don Johnson and that's a coin toss at best.
In fact, an amatuer actor, i.e. someone from Yukon, OK who's never had any acting experience,
could have READ Tom Cruises's part for the first time and done a better job than Tom Cruise
did after several months of intense study, which is obvious he didn't do.

Dustin Hoffman could stare blankly into a camera and emote more than tc could after
months of intense studying and with the best acting coaches in the business.

Tom Cruise is a terrible actor.

Actually, he's one of a few actors that will compel me to see a movie when I might otherwise be disinterested on 'on the fence.'

His personal life may be a totally different story..... but that doesn't concern me when I go to a movie.

This really means nothing to me. Many nominations but few cigars.
I honestly don't see much skill in his performances. I liken him as an actor
on a show playing the role of an actor who can't quite get it.

Cruise is a decent actor. What he's really good at however, is picking movies to be in. For the most part I've liked everything I've ever seen him in. I heard War of the Worlds wasn't very good, but I didn't see that one.

Looking at his IMDB page, he's only been in 37 movies (with 3 more announced). But as I look over them, almost every single one was a huge hit. The guy can pick 'em.

The best acting job I've seen him do lately (most of his roles are Tom Cruise playing Tom Cruise) was in Tropic Thunder.

Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. Give me five bees for a quarter, you'd say.
