Hm, it would have been immensely helpful to me to have seen this thread this morning. Anywho...

Today marked my third attempt to try their Reuben. The second was on the day their kitchen went kaput. As you can very well guess, I was thwarted again when I was told about the limited menu. I was double thwarted when the beer I wanted wasn't available, either. With that, I ordered a Carolina porker with potato salad and a Guinness Blonde. The pork was neither too dry nor too juicy. In fact, as sloppy as the sandwich could have been, it didn't make a giant mess, meaning that it was well-made with fine ingredients. The potato salad had a delightful amount of zip without being overpowering. The substitute beer ended up being a nice complement to the meal. At $18 and some change, I certainly did not feel cheated.

Though the Reuben will eventually be next on the list, I also wish to see how their mac and cheese stacks up against a mac restaurant I've visited, and I must say that the bar is rather high, at least for me.

Give them some time to get everything sorted out and give them a go. I doubt you'll be disappointed. Also, I'd have taken pics of the fare, but I left my phone in the car and couldn't be bothered to go back out and get it.

Finally made it over there and tried the Reuben..... While it's still not the best reuben I have ever had. It's the best I've had in Oklahoma City and I enjoyed the house made potato chips.

Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu.... Especially the poutine.... Hoping to find some friends that want to go along and share.

I went the other night. The fire mac and cheese was outstanding. Highly recommend.

Made it by for lunch Saturday. really like the way things turned out. They have a very nice beer selection and the food was good. I had the Southwest chicken Philly and My wife had the reuben. We both enjoyed our food and they have a great place to catch a game.

As far as prices…if you think it's expensive you must not get out much! Anything worth a damn is at least $10. And the sandwiches come with a side…I had more ff then I could eat! You can't walk out of a Jersey Mikes or equivalent sandwich shop with dropping a 10 spot. It's just the way it is.

I'll be back to try something different and this time I'm going to enjoy a nice beer!

My son and I ate there yesterday. He had the pulled pork and really liked it. I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. The tomato soup was very tasty, although just a wee bit too salty. The grilled cheese was delicious. And they have my favorite beer - Coop F5 - so it was a very enjoyable meal.

Need to give this place a shot as I love a good reuben sandwich. Not sure what it's called but anytime I go to an east coast style deli, I get corned beef, pastrami, coleslaw with russian dressing. If they were to serve this, I would be here weekly.

Gluten-free is certainly a fad that a lot of people jump on, bandwagon-style. But adding a charge for gluten-free sucks for people with celiac disease or hashimoto's autoimmune disease, both conditions being agitated by gluten consumption.

Ate here again yesterday. The BBQ mac and cheese was wonderful. We had a little mishap where my drink was knocked over and spilled all over the table and my pants. They comped the whole meal for the incident which I thought was wonderful customer service. I'll continue to frequent this place as long as they continue making wonderful mac and cheese.

As a life-long devotee of mac and cheese, I'm starting to get the impression I should stop in.

Stopped in for lunch, the BBQ mac and cheese was indeed quite good. I'll have to go back a few times to try some of the other varieties.

GF and I tried this out Saturday. They were pretty busy (a good sign), so we ended up sitting at the bar (which I prefer anyway). Bartender was friendly and attentive, and (sensing my hesitancy) suggested I try a sample of the Mustang chili-infused Dragon's Breath before I committed to an entire pint. (I ended up ordering the pint - good stuff.) I had the Philly. It was well-executed with good insides, but what really set it apart was the bread - just the right amount of "soft" and perfectly toasted on the inside of the bun. GF had the chicken Caesar wrap and enjoyed it. I'll definitely be back and can't wait to try some of the other items (porker, reuben, various mac 'n cheeses, fried pickles, verde pork burrito, hell everything looked good). Glad to have this place in the neighborhood!

Went by last night. Was disappointed they closed for a private party. I wish that places not designed for private parties would quit closing out their regular business. It makes it hard to put them on your list when you don't know if they will be open. You should be able to trust their hours.

I stopped in today for lunch. The place is pretty cool inside and has a real nice neighborhood feel. I tried the reuben and while it is not an east coast, piled high sandwich, the corned beef was really good and overall a solid sandwich. There are a lot of things on the menu that look good and I am excited to come back and try different items. At $16 with tip for a sandwich and water this won't be on my regular lunch rotation, but I still will be back.

While I've had this happen to me and also hate it, if you approach just about any place and say "I'll give you more money then you could possibly make keeping your public hours if you close down for me", they'll do it. Who wouldn't?

While searching for a party place once I had Bricktown Brewery tell me they'd only close down on a Saturday night for minimum $30,000, but probably more.

    Pete,

Can you explain the "Grand Opening" aspect of this flyer? They opened nearly a month ago. I'm confused.

I'm sure it's just an official grand opening as opposed to the soft opening until now.

Pretty typical for a business to wait to do their grand opening until after they've been open a short time and have worked out operational issues.

Yep. Grand openings are often not the first day of business,

Still a bit under the weather, so I decide to skip tonight.
    You're welcome.

Had hoped I'd feel up for it by this evening. As today goes forward though, I've convinced myself that by early evening my eyes will be closed and I'll be happily sawing enough logs to fell a small dream forest.

Unfortunately, it seems like this place is going to be out of business very quickly.

I've been there 4 times now. I'm a BIG believer in giving new places multiple chances if they don't meet my expectations at first.

The most recent visit two weeks ago on a Saturday night convinced me never to waste my time going there again unless I know big changes have been made. I was in Deep Deuce with three friends and we decided to go to Deep Deuce Grill for a quick drink before going to Slaughter Hall. Deep Deuce Grill was packed and lively; good atmosphere, quick, polite service, etc. After a drink, we headed to Slaughter Hall, but two of my friends wanted to drop in quickly to the cigar lounge, which was also packed and lively. I'm not a fan of smoke, so I and the other friend decided to go ahead to Slaughter Hall and just meet the others there.

When we got in, the place was basically dead. There was one table of 4 people and 5 people at the bar. My friend and I sat at the bar. There were, ostensibly, two bartenders. It took 8 minutes before one of them even acknowledged us and said it would just be one more minute before he could get to us. After he told us that, he promptly walked over to a couple friends who had just walked in and took two shots with them and stood there bantering for 5 minutes. They left and then he finally came to take our order-- about 15 minutes after we walked in and sat down. They were out of the first two beers I ordered. No problem. I took my third choice, which was good. We didn't see the bartender again for another 10 minutes and couldn't place another order because he was off talking to the one table in the bar, who also happened to be personal friends of his. When he returned, we got our checks and left. Terrible service, terrible everything.

Now, if that were the first bad experience I had there, I wouldn't have put so much weight into it and written about it here. But that was the fourth time I had been in there and though it was the worst of the service experiences I've had with them, it was consistent with the previous experiences. The first time I went in, my food didn't come out for 25 minutes. They profusely apologized and comped the meal, which is why I decided to give them another chance. The second time I went in, the service was slow despite there being few people in there, but it wasn't terrible. At that point, I decided they were still trying to work out the kinks. The third time, again, poor service and the bartenders were more interested in bantering with their friends.

I think the place is in a prime spot and could have a cool atmosphere, but the fact that it was DEAD on a Saturday night while every other place was packed and fun does not bode well for its future. The bartenders need to spend more time serving the customers rather than buying shots for their friends and then goofing off with them while other customers wait.

Oh yeah: the food there is great-- if it actually makes it to your table.

I'm going to argue with you, it took a really long time to get my peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, and they served it with Rasberry Jelly, and not Grape; although I suppose it was my fault for not asking or checking if it was grape jelly. Took almost 30 minutes to get my food and the waiter was not that nice.
