It's a little astonishing what a difference just the color change makes.

I finally made it to my first Thunder game of the season and noticed that the computer animated car race game through downtown and Bricktown that they showed during one of the timeouts showed them driving by the newly remodeled Century Center! Guess someone was doing their homework when they were rendering that!
The Jumbo Tron was up and running about 30 minutes ago. Looked amazing! Had video of Dave Morris and other advertisments. At the bottom it read "This screen will light up this corner for years to come"
Will took this today. When the video board was announced the stated purpose was to "feature news and promotional information for civic and nonprofit groups". The thing hasn't even been turned on for a day and OPUBCO is already running commercials??
Also, remember that a part of the $1.5 million tax dollar gift to OPUBCO for the move was for this board.
Do the ones in Times Square feature commercials?
Most are ads. There are a few news tickers running from the networks, but the giant displays are ads for everything from underwear, to M&Ms, to Broadway shows.
Homeland ad. Ugh.
Love the look, though.
Was there for a while this afternoon and came back at night. Shot HD video both times and much higher quality photos with an SLR. Will share when it's done.
Thanks Will!
I wonder how late at night that screen will be running?
It hadn't occurred to me that that half the Colcord rooms are going to get blasted by it.
Is it just me or doesn't that support structure look like it was designed to hold a screen running all the way to Main St?
We came up from the cox parking garage and turned onto Robinson and the screen was flashing THUNDER WINS! I felt like I was in 'Back to the Future II'.
They have yet to add the mesh material that will cover most of that structure and make it and the building look much different.
Spent some time walking around Century Center last night after the Thunder game and really like what I saw. The paint alone is a HUGE improvement and hopefully Sheraton will follow suit.
Pete should change this thread to The Oklahoman now, probably. Here's recent photos:

Since there are other businesses there I'm not sure that is entirely appropriate. Is there a new name for the building?
