LOL, it looks like it will just spray everyone else walking nearby. I would like to hear it in action as well. Moving air makes noise and it seems like the method of moving air at the velocity required to keep you dry would be fairly noisy.

I'm picturing the sound of one of these noisy beasts on a stick above your head.

Several places around OKC have these. They actually work very well. Much better then the upside-down hairdryer looking ones you often see.

Sam's uses them and they are the best hand blow dryer I've ever used. A bit noisy though and will startle a younger child.

    Weirdest urinal EVER.

I still can't figure out how to use it without it blowing pee all over the place.

stick47, I love and truly miss my Pops, my Mama and my dear sweet Mum-in-law.

That doesn't mean I want any of the three perched on my fingers, my lovely's fingers or hanging around our necks or pinned to our jackets.

Well, my wife said she always knew she'd have to kill me to get another diamond out of me.

From American Science and Surplus, direct to you . . .

Move Your Butt These brand-spanking new 12VDC motors are made to move automobile seats but are willing to change. They spin at approx 190 rpm, draw 1.5A no load, and stall at approx 25A. Threaded shaft is at a right angle and is 4-1/8" x 7/16". Shaft thread is non-standard, so treat it as a smooth shaft and mount pulley or gear with a setscrew. Measures 5-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" overall, not counting the shaft, and has power terminals opposite the gearbox with (2) 1/4" mounting holes opposite the shaft.

Engineer's Fashion Accessory No self-respecting number cruncher can afford to be seen without one of these fashion classics. We'll pick out (3) black or white vinyl pocket protectors in the traditional 5-1/2" x 3-1/2" size. Order quickly; It's only a question of time before these are seen on the runways in Milan.

Got Something To Control? Want to trigger something? Start with this honey of a pre-wired, ready-to-go take-out trigger/speed/polarity assembly from a cordless drill. Includes pre-wired IRFZ44N power MOSFET chip mounted on a heat sink. Feed voltage up to 20VDC to the (2) edge connectors at the shorter leads and attach a motor to the longer ones. The CW/off/CCW switch is below the trigger. The entire assembly measures 6" x 2-3/4" x 1-1/4", not counting the 4" leads.

Well, this isn't for sale yet, but it's a really cool concept!

    From Cnet
This beautiful lamp uses water to diffuse light

I'm always impressed by products that work nature into their designs. That's why I was drawn to French designer Arturo Erbsman's Atmos lamp, which uses water's natural condensation and evaporation process to diffuse light into a room.

The Atmos has an aluminum base that houses the light source, and a handblown glass bulb that contains an inexhaustable water reserve. When you turn the lamp on, the water starts to evaporate, causing condensation to appear on the inner walls of the bulb, giving the Atmos light a beautiful, almost crystallized look. As the micro droplets on the inside of the bulb get bigger, the water drops back down into the water reserve.
