Plano is experiencing quite the boom lately! Toyota Corporation moving US HQ to Plano from California and bring 4,000 high paying jobs! Oklahoma officials need to really take a long look at attracting more high profile HQ's to the State. Is the talent pool available in OK? The article states that they want to be around highly skilled talent pool.
Is Hilti big? I've never heard of them.
Can't tell if serious, Hilti is pretty well respected in the tool world (from my experience)

A Hilti product is on every jobsite I've been on in one form or another.
great anchor fasteners, and they've got great laser measuring tools. i had a Hilti laser measure I used when I was a property adjuster for measuring rooms in homes and it was a great tool, build quality was top notch.
I would add that Hilti has a good reputation. Does anyone know if you can actually buy their stuff from a retail establishment, a la Home Depot, Lowes, etc?
I think you can at Home Depot, not 100% sure though
I think lack of nonstop flights to Europe and other major markets is a big factor here, considering the HQ is in Europe (this is the North American HQ). They stated "greater talent pool" in DFW; of course there will be a greater talent pool in a metro of nearly 7 million compared to one with just under 1 million..
The Hilti operations center will remain in Tulsa which has 450 employees. Sucks losing executives though, especially since they have been in Tulsa many years and have supported local causes.
Going from being a big fish to a guppie in the ocean. The article I read indicates they have been looking to leave for quite some time.
Hilti is a respected name worldwide
