Monday October 6th is the deadline for submissions to an RFP issued by the City for the land south of the OG&E Tower.

Clayco -- who is helping develop OG&E Tower -- is submitting a proposal and had said they would like to unite the two developments.

So, when the applications are revealed on Monday, Clayco's will likely reveal the grand vision for the entire block.

Steve Lackmeyer will no doubt be at the reveal meeting (which is open to the public) and I'll also ask OCURA to forward to me any application(s).

There has been talk about a local group also making application for that south parcel but I seriously doubt anyone else had enough time to make a compelling bid, as the RFP only allowed 60 days for response. Clayco had initially approached the City to purchase the property which is what prompted the RFP, so they clearly already had a general plan in mind at that time.

Oh thats great to hear! I can't wait to see what comes through. I also love that OCURA is involved with so many projects, I hate it when private companies don't let any one else in.

Pete, can you post information for the "public reveal meeting" on Monday? I will try to make it. More posters there the better!

LOL, you heard it first here folks. This might be the only statement I've ever seen of someone saying LOVE and OCURA in the same sentence without the word DO NOT in it.

Sorry for being picky, but how long will the meeting be? Will this go on until 12? Later?
    Thanks

They just open the RFP applications and read them aloud.

I don't think it's worth the trouble to go because very shortly thereafter Steve Lackmeyer and I will both have digital copies of what was submitted and I'll post them for all to see.

But, if you can't wait that extra hour or so, you are welcome to try and squeeze into their conference room.

    From Steve's chat -

Will we possibly be seeing some news on the Stage Center sight, and south block, this next Monday afternoon from you? What are you expecting, or hearing, we'll see during the proposals that morning?
    11:29
Steve Lackmeyer: Monday will be the day we will find out a lot about what's coming to Sheridan and Hudson. Based on sources I've talked to, we can expect the proposal to be a bit more ambitious than what we've seen so far.

Is this 5 stories ambitious or 15+ stories ambitious?

Well, it wouldn't take much, but I guess that's a little promising.

Three days, so close and yet so far.

Even 5 extra stories would be significant.

I'm surprised it isn't already submitted to the City Hall clerk though.

From my experience all of these can last for hours, but OCURA is a pretty small venue (just a board room) and it's faster than anything in council chambers. Rainy has a lot of questions to answer, for sure.

This is not a regular OCURA meeting.

All they will be doing is opening and reading the submissions.

Me too, you would think someone has access to something by now. What happened to the reporters that chased big stories, getting interviews, and actually breaking the story before its made public? Now reporting has digressed to emails, and chasing City Council and OCURA meetings.

They are submitted in sealed packages, just like bids. Only the proposer could leak info.

Anybody else have a guess ?

If a legitimate reporter starts releasing detailed information about stories before the information is made available to the public, the sources that reporter has will quickly dry up.
