Sears Hometown Store

Not sure whether there is a thread for this or not, but the Sears store by Quail Springs apparently opened a week ago. Has anyone been? I'll go out on a picture shooting spree here before long and stop by this place.

Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Inc. will open its newest Oklahoma Sears Hometown Store today at 14040 Joel McDonald in Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City location marks the eighth opening of a new Sears Hometown Store this year and the 19th opening of a new store across all of Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores formats.

“We’re both proud and excited to fulfill high consumer demand for Sears Hometown Stores in the Oklahoma City area and to become a staple in the community,” stated Jake Brock, owner of the new Sears Hometown Store of Oklahoma City. “We have a knowledgeable team in place with the focus on providing customers with great products, exceptional customer service, and a personalized store experience.”

This unique store format allows customers in small communities to have access to the great products and brands usually found only in Sears stores. For instance, the new Sears Hometown Store in Oklahoma City is the only place in town where customers can find an incredible selection of the top appliance brands such as Kenmore, Maytag, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Bosch, Frigidaire and GE, plus a large assortment of lawn and garden equipment, Craftsman tools, fitness equipment, mattresses and more.

I periodically visit the Hometown Sears at 33rd & Broadway. It is privately owned and the small layout allows for immediate personal service when you walk in the door, and a thorough knowledge their product line. Most of the times that I have been in there, I've delt directly with the owners, and they've gone out of their way to search for products that they did not have in stock. It is a vast improvement in customer service over the big corporate stores.
